superflit2··on Open letter from the BMJ to Mark Zuckerberg
From google

``` Aside from the Agnelli family, smaller shareholders in the company include Cadbury, Rothschild (21%), Schroder, Layton and other family interests as well as a number of staff and former staff shareholders. ```
It took a lot of work finding one that was English/scott.
There is the famous Elon Musk tweet
superflit2··on Preventing extreme polarization of political attitudes
Like If I send millions of buddhist people to a Muslim country.
The buddhist will become Muslim?
Is that how it works?
superflit2··on Preventing extreme polarization of political attitudes
But what IF one of groups "invite" or promote immigration to make another group weaker?
superflit2··on Ask HN: EU devs who moved to the States for work, has it been worth it?
"Basically, we can be casually racist with each other, because it's between equals. Americans can't, because it's between two groups, one of which used to inflict horrible human rights abuses over the other."
I really enjoy the guilty/shame we put upon White Christians about slavery.
Even being the *OnlY* people who fought to end the slavery.
Black merchants/kings? Jesuit Company (Converted Jews), Islamic republics, etc.
All did not care about slavery.
But then these pesky White Christians came and said NO to slavery.
I hope they learn the lesson and be more cultural aware in future.
"It is not slavery it is their society..."
And keep themselves out of helping people.
superflit2··on I resigned from Twitter
Maybe there is a current trial or lawsuit that could damage his reputation and then the company?
Like a trial that is touching a lot of big players in tech?
something.. something.... L*** express?
Thus resigning is better for the shareholders and him.
superflit2··on Ask HN: As an introvert/ambivert, how can I reap benefits from social events?
Can relate.
Be polite and everyone will help and will extend a hand in Brazil.
That does not mean is safe.
But usually we consider foreigners like baby brothers that cannot navigate on our chaos.
So we help them
superflit2··on My letter to Medicaid, appealing my child's Medicaid denial
"health insurance shouldn't mean we'll do whatever it takes to keep somebody alive no matter what".
That is a valid thought and a lot of "universal" and "free" healthcare have "costs containment" and even "alternatives" health care (homeopathy) for higher cost diseases[1]
Now the question is when it will come to you or a beloved one will it be ok to me say : "nahh, lets save a lot of money"?
A lot of people think Europe Health system is perfect and universal. It is when you are young. Once you have a hard cancer Rich people take a flight to US.
superflit2··on Why Tokyo Works
It is a cheap shot because the Only people to stand up against slavery and fight against slavery of Another race was these `Christian English` people.
I am under impression they were the only ONES to object to it.
Until they came everybody was OK with slavery.
And slavery is still practiced in some parts of Africa[1].
Slavery was common including black owned slaves[2]
Then these pesky Christian English started talking about freedom, equality, individual rights, etc.
Whole world silent and they talking about the horrors of slavery.
No one else cared about it, no one else fight for it.
superflit2··on Why Tokyo Works
Nope.
The Christians were against the slave trade and fight against it.
You may be talking about the "Jesus Company" where its founder was a converso (converted) [1].
You may consider that the `the homogeneous English immigrants` were the only ones to BAN and forbid the slave trade.
superflit2··on Why Tokyo Works
Nope.
If you look at Gini index you can see the best countries are not "diverse".
No.
The problem of given that choice is that smart people will go to strong academic schools.
Then Billions wasted on "reducing the differences" will show that people want and choose to be different.
Then various narratives will die in the cemetery of good intentions...
superflit2··on Gender in Latin and Beyond: A Philologist’s Take
On Romantic languages "latinE" a noun ending in "e" or "ne" would express a word from French/Galic.
"Champagne", "Vitrine" as exemple.
The ""new"" gender neutral a woke fashion that has disregard for people with dyslexia or people who needs software to read (blind).
superflit2··on Post-SSRI sexual dysfunction
From the people I know personally.
Situation 1. Interview next day.
They can't sleep, can't focus. Like they are rolling on their bed all the time but no real sleep.
Then on the next day when they have the interview their cognition is exhausted and tired. Solution: CBD helped them sleep better like in 40 min.
Situation 2. Meeting or having a situation that they will be anxious. (meeting, new job,etc).
CBD before makes the "negative voices" stop.
I talking CBD only.
You will not feel high or anything.
Indeed you will forgot that you use it but then you will not be anxious. Meaning -> it does not give a "kick" that you feel. suddenly you are relaxed and "forgot" about being anxious.
I was a person that thought the medicinal effects were "exagerated" so the ""hipppies"" could use it. But then once I saw it working I changed my prejudice.
superflit2··on Post-SSRI sexual dysfunction
I am not saying it is not for you.
But please consider alternatives as CBD or a healthier routine.
superflit2··on Post-SSRI sexual dysfunction
I will provide some AnecData.
I am from a generation that when SSRI became available, it was a marvelous drug.
Prescribed to teenagers freely and plentiful.
Now on my peers of friends, we have many people who don't have any libido.
The hardest-hit group was Women as they go to therapy more[1].
It is so huge we have Forums like "dead bedroom."
Once a friend that took SSRI told me how she felt about sex:
"I am looking forward to when my husband reaches his 40s, so he does not bother me about sex anymore."
"Brushing my teeth is more useful and fun than sex."
I am not talking about sex partners that are not "competent" or good. It is like you never felt hungry or willing to eat. But then you *have* to eat, and when you are tasting the food, it is like cardboard * every time*
The concerning part is that our PharmaCo does this every ten years. (Thalidomide, SSRIs, etc.) So can we believe the mRNA vacuum is really safe?
superflit2··on Ivermectin shows that not all science is worth following
Imagine that you are creating a new patented drug that you could charge a lot and the whole govts in the world needed.
Then have this other drug without patent that could do the same? or 80%?
People got enraged about the Epi-Pen patent price gouging years back imagine what would happen if some rigorous study confirm that ivermectin is as good as or better?
This is a sample on how media distorts the narrative.
superflit2··on Ask HN: What non-American news sources do you recommend?
You have to read /pol/ and then some others spaces.
Think in three way:
1. There is forces there that want you to think -10
2. Forces that want you to think +10
3. Forces that just want to dump classified data.
Then you read and check if that is true or not.
Don't have pre-conceived ideas.
superflit2··on Ask HN: What non-American news sources do you recommend?
pravda.ru
and some foruns we cant name. like 4**
superflit2··on Ask HN: What is the cost/risk for US companies hire remote outside US?
Having been working as contractor for remote US company it means basically two things:
1. Lack of understanding: They don't need to setup a foreign presence in your country, they don't need to do special tax efforts. The only thing they need from you is a contract and W8BEN or the right IRS tax form.
2. Fear: We gonna hire this guy from <stereotype country>.. What are reactions:
"Nice beaches on that place.." "Do they have reliable internet?" "what if he rans away with our money?"
This is a normal and humane reaction.
When people complaint about this stereotypical thinking I like to ask them:
"When I say Italy what you think first?"
And same answers usually appear.
My suggestion is to focus on companies that accept as the ones that not accept now will do as labor shortage increases.
