systema··on What do you want to see in Learn C The Hard Way?
Also, just since we're on a similar topic, you might want to read: https://github.com/martainemde/learn-ruby-the-hard-way/issue... Just so you come up with something original :)
systema··on What do you want to see in Learn C The Hard Way?
I can see that this book is going to be a great success, already. :)
systema··on What do you want to see in Learn C The Hard Way?
This is a horrible book, that is cluttered with numerous errors. If you want to learn about socket programming in C, you might find that UNP would do well to teach you, shown here http://goo.gl/uqCP8
systema··on What do you want to see in Learn C The Hard Way?
So, contextually, we're referring to C here, wherein these terms refer to Implementation Defined Behaviour, and Undefined Behaviour. Allowing beginners to understand such terms early on would help, immensely.

I don't think C defines an intel debugger.
systema··on What do you want to see in Learn C The Hard Way?
10 years suggests nothing, really. If "int x; What type is &x", "int x[5]; What type is x? What type is &x?" manages to confuse you, I suggest you re-learn C, before authoring this book of yours.

If you don't know what UB or IDB is, you probably don't want to write a book pertaining to C, :)
systema··on What do you want to see in Learn C The Hard Way?
You can do that yourself, if you want. :p
systema··on What do you want to see in Learn C The Hard Way?
Illustrate the differences between IDB and UB early on.
systema··on What do you want to see in Learn C The Hard Way?
You probably want to make sure you know C, first.

systema··on Ask HN: How do I give my son a head start?
Certainly, Ruby is a fine first option. I'd recommend any Lisp derivative, or Javascript also.

I see no reason to learn Pascal, or BASIC, nor do I see its effectiveness.

systema··on Ask HN: How do I give my son a head start?
Yes, I tried to do the same, with my youngest when she was about 13 (and with Perl), but she quickly dropped it all, due to my enthusiasm.
