A case study in applying W. Edwards Deming's continuous-improvement philosophy, through a Knowledge Engineer role, to a creative project run with multiple AI assistants.
So if it comes down to UBI are the highly skilled expecting near the monies they earned in tech cause the high paid factory workers were forced to take much less in the food and services sector. Maybe we can pay a UBI so you won’t loose your homes while the former factory workers could get some form of reparations for a more fair result.
I found a families, great grandfather’s memoirs while doing their estate. I realized with the family all gone and there were few in his class with the education to speak of early American life so I published it and illustrated the e-book. https://books2read.com/A-young-Mans-Adventures-In-19th-Centu...
Never published early accounting of what life for the average guy was like in early 19 century America. Few in his class had the education to inform us of this period in American history.
You could expand this for Fly Fishing. Example use: I want to fly fish a lake by bank or boat if one could see wind data they could save a lot of time on the river, stream, lake. Wind affects fly fishing a lot.
Last Saturday I decided to fix the leaky kitchen faucet installed in the 80's. YouTube had me replacing cartridges @ $22 for pair. They had a former plumber working who down sold me the real fix, a pair of rubber seals w/springs $3.25 This guy told me the cartridges rarely are the problem . . he was right! he also instructed me on how to make the repair.
I use a bamboo wok scrubber for cleaning built up debris on my carbon steel pan ( cowboy pan ) may be as old as late 1800's it's at least from the early 1900's. I can't find this type of wok scrubber anymore . . if anyone knows where they sell them?
I follow a You tuber his handle is Ave, He went into detail about it , I don't have the video title off hand. Being a former welder it really caught my attention. He was testing scrap he brought into his shop with a geiger counter. Commentor's below mentioned they had to test all steel coming in because it could set off sensitive monitors and halt the production line.
I was at the last Cleveland Browns game a couple of years ago in December. The San Diego Chargers were in town. My niece asked why there were so many Charger fans in C'town I, told her they all left in the Cleveland diaspora of the 80's when the good paying manufacturing left. They are back to see family in town at Christmas and see the Chargers play there last game before going to LA. I wondered how my life would be had I left with them. They must of done well in So Cal cause it isn't cheap to live in San Diego. If you weren't able to see where the money job's were going (healthcare) you were left out because it's the only thing going here now. My fathers generation was the last to see Cleveland's golden era.
Here's my WTF moment. My grandmother told me, she was born in 1901 as a kid on a rural PA farm. They used pages from a Sears wish book or dried corn cobs, out at the old out house!
Canada has been taking Automotive sector jobs from U.S. workers. Detroit has seen a real cost savings by not covering health care for their Canadian workers.
