thatiscool··on Did a Chinese Hack Kill Nortel?
It is all china's fault, even the dotcom bubble. A sour loser always deflects his/her own fault.
thatiscool··on China suppression of Uighurs meets U.N. definition of genocide, report says
“Repeat a lie a thousand times and it becomes the truth”, - that is a propaganda technique.

Some countries so desperately want chaos in Xinjiang as in HongKong.

You can have free speech, but it is an authoritarian system.

thatiscool··on Google interviewing process for software developer role in 2020
It is very disrespectful.

My domain is backend distributed system and FB arranged a front end manager to interview me and he explicitly said I was matched to his team, WTH?? then the interview feedback was I do not have their expected skillsets.

Why waste my' time & effort?

The post has a great point: because a single senior Googler decides that you're the wrong person to be hired.

there is no check and balance. It is about picking a person he/she likes.

And many senior Googlers work there for more than a decade, they do not understand external world and full of arrogance and self-correctness.

thatiscool··on What to do if you’re stopped by the police
something is wrong with the system if you need to be so paranoid with the policeman. it seems people are living under fear and police force in the U.S. can easily abuse their power and walk free.

Does anyone still remember the tragedy of Debian founder Ian Murdock suicided in San Francisco?

in EU or Asia, policeforce seems more approachable.
