Learn about SendGrid's decision to build their own MTA instead of using postfix or a commercial solution.
thinkingserious··on Automate your life with a bot army
This is the first in a two part series. I'd like to feature cool automation hacks you've build that have given you the highest value in the second post.

Please post links or tell me about them in the comments.

thinkingserious··on Personal Productivity for Developers
I like to add in some noise canceling headphones into the mix to help with the interruptions while trying to execute a pomodoro. A cold hard stare helps too :)

But how do I grep my stack of plain papers?

thinkingserious··on Starting a Business "Art of the Start" Style
For many, the new year will be a time to launch new businesses. In this fast paced Web 2.0 digital world, we don't have time to create big binder sized business plans before we get started. What do you think about Compete.com?
thinkingserious··on Ask YC: Is distributing your source code a stupid idea?
I think the answer will depend on a clear definition of your goals, such as your revenue goals, how you see people using your software (and what you want to allow them to do with it) and exit strategy.

You may just want to build a good API to make it easy for hackers to customize and extend if you decide not to release the source.

thinkingserious··on Live from SF with the founder of Startup Weekend as we launch helphookup.com
The concept is great. Is there a beta?
thinkingserious··on Amazon Kindle To Debut On Monday - Ugly But Impressive
I can't wait to try this thing out. Currently, I love to read eBooks on my Pocket PC before going to sleep. The only problem is that sometimes, with a good page turner, I may not sleep at all!
thinkingserious··on Build A Reverse Ebay Style Business Using the ThemBid.com Engine

Your e-mail address does not appear to be working.
thinkingserious··on What System Do You Use to Manage Your Life?
I would love to use such a simple system, and the system you describe would probably work if I were just working alone and were single.

How many are on your team and how many projects do you typically have in the pipeline?

How do you use rainlender in the context of running a startup?

How do you collaborate and manage?

Nice. Short and sweet.
thinkingserious··on Removing Backgrounds Quickly in the Gimp
Mask Pro does not support the GIMP, unless I missed something. There is a faster way to do what I describe in the article. The link is in the comments.
thinkingserious··on Social Networks for Developers
I was thinking more in the Digg sense.
thinkingserious··on Will This be the End of Online Advertising?
I could have been. But since the process is automated, it is much less hassle than searching through huge yellow page books.
