Perhaps I should say "not economically viable". We could also use morse code, but it is just not very practical.
> you revert to more basic forms in a sort of puzzle of "How do I say that?
So we are playing "guess what" and pantomime at working hours. Wonderful!
> reverting to fingerspelling to bridge gaps in either person's vocabulary
Typing on phone or keyboard just seems more practical. Or using pen and paper....
Entire office is not going to learn new language, just to speak with an odd deaf person. And communicating specialized stuff like technical programming is not possible, gestures only cover basic words.
It is a huge frivolous waste! Dogs produce CO2, they eat tons of meat, they pollute environment and kill wild life!
And there are negative side effects to other people. Lack of sleep from constant barking, dog attacks, not being able to walk or cycle outside, stepping into dog shit, parasites spread from dog excrements...
Saying there is "no waste", just means dog owners do not have to pay negative expenses associated with their animal upkeep. They outsource all bad stuff to society!
People in prison should be allowed to work. He is serving his sentence. Where is the problem? One day he will be out of prison. Does it mean he should never ever be allowed to work again?
US has a problem with "prison vengeance", where prisoners are not allowed to even have a TV. But it would be cheaper and decrease overall crime. Current prison system is just raising more criminals.
