todotask2··on Crystal 1.22
I used Crystal for a year before moving on to Go, which I value for its faster build times. Bun also keeps improving at fast pace and constantly reduce memory usage which can be useful on budget server.
todotask2··on Singapore’s National Library Board offers micropayments to build reading habits
It’s worth S$0.02 for 15-min read.
todotask2··on Apple introduces M6 and M5 Ultra
Probably, you have not yet optimised with Mole or other tools, that would have re-gain back some performance.
todotask2··on Go 1.27
Interesting, this reduced memory usage in my test down from 14 MB to 12 MB, and Bun (Rust) is still at 7.2 MB, down from 10 MB with Bun (Zig).
todotask2··on We finally learned to center a div, then browsers added sidebars
Wouldn't the HTML Popover API be a simpler fit for the sidebar example? If it's an overlay rather than part of the document layout, popover seems to eliminate quite a bit of the positioning logic.
todotask2··on The coolest use for the Vision Pro
It is even great for those with night blindness navigating in a large space. I wish there were night vision glasses.
todotask2··on Sleep regularity is a stronger predictor of mortality risk than sleep duration (2023)
A good night's sleep is no longer an option for me. My area is experiencing widespread, constant ground vibrations throughout the day and night. It feels as if your whole body is vibrating. No supplement can help with that, and there's nothing the local authorities can do until the major construction projects are completed over the next few years.
todotask2··on Show HN: 18 Words
We should let players choose their own timer from default to # minutes or no rewards for correct answers.
todotask2··on Podman v6.0.0
One advantage of Docker is reliable host-to-container file change notifications, allowing tools like Vite inside the container to detect changes. Podman and many alternatives don’t handle this well for our web development on macOS.

Not even Tart or Apple Container support it, as far as I know. Maybe someone has found a way.

todotask2··on Show HN: GolemUI – Declarative Form Engine
I'm saying the version from 0.17.0 -> 1.0.

While other projects, such as Astro Starlight for documentation and Hugo CMS, have not yet reached 1.0.

todotask2··on Show HN: GolemUI – Declarative Form Engine
Why did your release jump from 0.17.0 (2026-06-08) to 1.0 in such a short time?

If I use Tailwind, BEM or Boostrap, how hard it will be to customise? Flowbite have a few pre-made UI.

Shoelace UI is based on Web Components, now that it got bigger:

todotask2··on Half-Life 2 in a Browser
Same too, now it's my haze and night blindness vision.
todotask2··on Half-Life 2 in a Browser
Doom 3, smoother on Macbook M1 but it's too dark that I need to actually increase brightness on Firefox reliably. Is there a better solutions?

todotask2··on VoidZero Is Joining Cloudflare
Cloudflare acquiring Astro and VoidZero was unexpected. I’ve been using Astro for a solo project, which made things easier to manage.

It also came at a time when expectations for the project were starting to increase.

todotask2··on The Website Specification
Some good parts, some bad practices, and a few missing pieces. I spent a lot of time auditing websites and brought all issues down to zero.

Many web and SEO agencies have let technical debt build up over the years. I raised some issues to them, but didn’t hear back.

After auditing a million websites, can we fix them? We could rebuild the web.

todotask2··on Googlebook
Feeling like no longer personal but AI laptop.
todotask2··on Your website is not for you
Actually, I can see why this blogs and the agency was created after reading their FAQs (preferred Astro and Next.js). But note that, there are multiple WebSmith site which can caught new clients to be confused.
todotask2··on Show HN: Smol machines – subsecond coldstart, portable virtual machines
Just curious if this allow to sync file changes from host to vm which only Docker has that and no other VM alternative has that ability.
todotask2··on Show HN: Smol machines – subsecond coldstart, portable virtual machines
How many smolvm can you find?
todotask2··on Darkbloom – Private inference on idle Macs
OpenAI has only about 5% paying customers, how does it generate revenue?

I don’t think this is a sustainable business model. For example, Cubbit tried to build decentralised storage, but I backed out because better alternatives now exist, and hardware continues to improve and become cheaper over time.

Your electricity and ownership are going to get lower return and does not actually requce CO2.

todotask2··on The tool that won't let AI say anything it can't cite
The interfactive app caused my mouse moving so sluggish on macOS.
todotask2··on EmDash – A spiritual successor to WordPress that solves plugin security
https://www.searchenginejournal.com/mullenweg-to-cloudflare-...

Here what Matt said: "The closest thing I’ve seen to a spiritual successor isn’t another CMS, it’s been OpenClaw.”

He's saying "the spiritual successor to WordPress won't be a CMS at all, it'll be something in a different category entirely. Or he lets his emotion get better of him.

todotask2··on EmDash – A spiritual successor to WordPress that solves plugin security
Correct, "categorical descendant" is actually more precise given how differently they were built.
todotask2··on EmDash – A spiritual successor to WordPress that solves plugin security
So it's spiritual successor, not successor.
todotask2··on Colibri – chat platform built on the AT Protocol for communities big and small
You're welcome! Cool project!
todotask2··on Local LLM App by Ente
Model is last trained on Dec 2023, that's consider outdated.
todotask2··on Parallels confirms MacBook Neo can run Windows in a virtual machine
As someone who has been working in IT support for years, for most people a Windows laptop in the $400 range is cheaper if you add on-site IT support, parts replacement, and a longer warranty period. I wonder where Apple stands here.
todotask2··on Show HN: Local-First Linux MicroVMs for macOS
On on iPhone 13 Pro with iOS Safari 26.3, loading fine.
todotask2··on Show HN: I saw this cool navigation reveal, so I made a simple HTML+CSS version
You made me recalled we made something similar with growing circular on mobile menu the last decade. It was cool for our marketing event website.
todotask2··on CSS Grid Lanes
I have been using Kagi Orion on macOS and iPhone, so far so good.
