Remote: Ideally yes! But depending on the opportunity I am open to hybrid/onsite

Willing to relocate: Never say never

  Résumé/CV: https://www.linkedin.com/in/philipmetzger/

I can start immediately!

I’m Phil, a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer with 15+ years of experience building high-impact web applications across frontend and backend. I’ve spent my career shipping fast, solving real problems, and turning ideas into real products.

I specialize in React, Next.js, TypeScript, Supabase, PostgreSQL, Node.js, and everything required to take a product from prototype → production → scale. I love working where engineering, UX, and product meet — designing features, running growth experiments, and delivering end-to-end systems that actually move the needle.

I see my self as a product engineer as I love to take a problem and go from 0 to production! I take ownership!

I’ve built and launched 10+ products, mostly solo — sharpening my skills across engineering, UX, distribution, and growth. I love creating tools that are useful, weird, or just fun to build. Some of my projects include:

• InterestingBars.com – Unique bars around the world • puzzlepostcards.shop – Send a puzzle postcard • ReclaimDesk.com – Modern lost & found management • UseStockStore.com – Simple inventory management app • DumpIt.app – AI-powered audio note-taking • ChronaGraph – Simple graph workflows for AI • TallyTabby.com – Minimal counting app • QRFeedback.app – Instant customer feedback via a QR code • ShiftingTicTacToe.com – Real-time twist on a classic game • DecodeBodyLanguage.com – AI nonverbal insights

truetaurus··on Show HN: Decode Body Language and Understand Nonverbal Cues
I get your concern, but honestly, we all read and respond to body language subconsciously—whether we realize it or not. It's just part of how humans communicate.
truetaurus··on Show HN: Decode Body Language and Understand Nonverbal Cues

OP Here.

It is very much in its early stages. I was using langgraph and thought it was pretty cool but found it quite over complicated for my use cases. SO I decided to build a simple version.

Looking for any feedback!

truetaurus··on Show HN: Get honest customer feedback with a simple QR code
Hey OP here!

I just launched my solo project: https://qrfeedback.app It’s a simple way to collect customer feedback through a QR code, helping businesses improve.

I’m eager to get it in front of users and would love any advice on quick, low-cost marketing tactics that have worked for others here. What strategies would you recommend to rapidly attract the right audience and start gathering feedback?

Any tips or insights would be incredibly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Also highly appreciate any feedback!

Bonus: If you know anyone that runs small businesses such as restaurants, hotels, etc and you could show them it :)

truetaurus··on Anyone building open source software in AI or Crypto?
We opened up applications for 100 Builders, a 4-week online program/hackathon for builders to collaborate on bold open source projects for AI (and crypto), organized by a small team and supported by amazing partners and sponsors. It is 100% free to participate, light on time commitment, and 100% on builders' terms. Just a BIG build-that-thing energy between 100 projects that get in. I don't need to convince you about how important it is to have this new tech be built as open as possible, and we hope this will help with that!

We have a lot more to announce, including details about $20k+ (and counting) in sponsorship and prize money for participants. You can apply directly on the site https://100.builders/?ref=hn&code=Py8aPO - it takes 2 minutes.

Applications close on August 10th.

There is a little FAQ here: https://docs.100.builders/100-builders-qs-and-as

If you have any questions or feedback, let me know!

truetaurus··on Show HN: Apply to 100.builders – building together open source in AI and Crypto
Interesting! Is it for solo builders or can I apply with my team?
truetaurus··on Show HN: Second Longest Word Wins [fun social game]
As a matter of fact I have those exact features planned! Thanks for the feedback!
truetaurus··on Show HN: Second Longest Word Wins [fun social game]
Created this quick little game that you can play with friends.

It is quite simple: Given a letter, come up with a word. Then the person with the second longest word wins! You dont need you my app, you can even play it at your next social gathering using pen and paper!

Very much inspired from a task on TaskMaster: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGOUR26pLz0&t=2305s

How to play this game with friends in real life: https://sociallotion.com/game/second-longest-word_elUbYc6lZ5...

Still an MVP, but have a play and let me know any feedback.

Also any designers out there? would love for ideas on how to improve it (i am not a designer :)).

<3 Thanks!
