vffhfhf··on Contactless payment implants are inevitable
Why?

Implanting things on body is a hassle. Body's immune system fights against it. After certain number of years we have to change its battery.

I can imagine people implanting phones or OS but contactless payment implant. A retinal implant.. But we still dont know so much about how our body actually work.

Also its like implanting a chip that controls toilet seat when you want to pee.. Ya you could do it but dude really??

vffhfhf··on What Is Religion?

vffhfhf··on Ryan Kaji, 9, earns $29.5m as this year's highest-paid YouTuber
It says more about people not being upto date.

Britney spears, harry potter dude, emma watson and every child actor was normal but this is abnormal exactly how?

vffhfhf··on John Carmack: Career Advice
50% connection 30% luck 20% hard work.

The best solution is not to reproduce till you can help your children with connection.

vffhfhf··on The Zodiac Killer's most uncrackable cipher has, at last, been solved
Video games and internet.

Bored people are unpredictable.

vffhfhf··on How and why to use Lynx – the faster web browser
Text based browser. lol.

I can play full games like krunker.io right now in browser with minimal lag.

I hope all the OS developers are taking note. OS might be just a browser plugin in the future instead of the other way round.

Humans have a brain that soaks new information like a sponge. Internet is the new crack. Having a limited browser is sad.

Edit: ok I tried it. I have to allow 2-3 cookies to run google.com. Facebook doesnot run. I think its a niche thing. Like among peers it would be fun to learn to run and run it but not a stable thing.

vffhfhf··on Reddit Claims 52M Daily Users, Revealing a Key Figure for Social-Media Platforms
donno dude.

I want to absorb all the comments in least ammount of time.

The new design looks like it focus more on content than people commenting. I mean reddit is about all the juicy comments, no?

vffhfhf··on PinePhone – KDE Community edition
Why not develop on snapdragon 865 soc and 6-8 gb Ram?

I bet it would run really better.

vffhfhf··on Google users locked out after 15 years' use
Tech has "winner takes all" thing going.

Either regulate them as public service if you think "winner takes all" is valid.

OR

Make concrete rule to make sure winner doesnot take >50% of market.

This is the only solution I can think of.

vffhfhf··on Lobe.ai – A simple tool for training machine learning models
Oh wow.

its awesome for noobs like me to train things.

Thanks.

You should release this on android and market it hard. Remember machine learning will flourish when idiots like me can train to do to mundane task.

vffhfhf··on 25 Years In Speech Technology and I still don’t talk to my computer
I still dont get why google doesnot integrate Google now function on google chrome.

like imagine saying " Hey open a reddit/meme subreddit on the side " while you are doing your watching youtube. or imagine saying "hey Wikipedia that *"

vffhfhf··on House Hunting in France: A Once-in-a-Millennium Castle for $3.3M
Oh god.

Imagine the dust.

vffhfhf··on Uninstall Nano Defender
Nano blocker was awesome.

Now I have to delete stuff.

At this point, I no longer trust non-open source application and even open source stuff with low followers.

vffhfhf··on Why Life Can’t Be Simpler
Life is simple..

If you aim lower.

There was a psychology research on how people even billionaire form a baseline similar to a homeless dude. All the stress, pressure you have is the same as everybody else and it will never change.

So the goal should be do whatever you enjoy while doing the minimum effort..

Of course this type of thinking would immediately hamper progress everywhere.

vffhfhf··on Google delays mandating Play Store’s 30% cut in India to April 2022
This is the new reality.

Internet and internet company are too powerful, too rich, too many trillions.

Next 10 years we will see more great firewalls.

vffhfhf··on YouTubers are upscaling the past to 4K, but historians want them to stop
What a dumb argument.

Humans learn by watching shit.

Colorize the history, HDfy it.

Just coz you got your useless history degree toiling 3 years doesnot make you a better historian than 5 year old reciting a old story.

Also imagine getting a history degree. What failures.

vffhfhf··on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS’ snap obsession has snapped me off of it
I tried.

For some reason I cannot run synaptic.

Removed debian that very second.

vffhfhf··on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS’ snap obsession has snapped me off of it
I actually like snap.

At the end of the day users like me matter.

I cannot find 1 decent pomodrone app for linux. I now have 2 of those from snap store.

I could not get that mycroft ai app to run for some reason. One in snap actually works.

Ya the startup time is noticeable but they work.

For intermediate like me and noob users its awesome.

Edit: also purple task is good to do list maker. So at the end of the day what ever attracts developer to make cool little app is a win for me.

vffhfhf··on Google, the Stupidity Amplifier (2016)
Because this dude is like I filled million recaptacha I deserve more free result when AI research is so new and so slow.

This dude thinks just coz human can do it means its easy and forgets the billion years of evolution that went to make our eye or the massive amount of processing our brains does to see an object.

vffhfhf··on Google, the Stupidity Amplifier (2016)
Do people expect google to be run by Magic?

Google, wikipedia, even facebook, twitter and reddit have been a plus to modern human thinking.

Just coz they fail somewhere doesnot mean they are bad.

People dont remember how much things sucked before them. Also computer vision, AI are new things.

""And your mission was to organise the world’s information. How’s that working out for you so far?""

It working out so well. Internet is just 40 year old and we are here for fu*k sake.

Some people have 0 bigger picture scene.

vffhfhf··on Chrome just got faster with Profile Guided Optimization
Not a glowing review of firefox lol.
vffhfhf··on Apple to kill Epic’s accounts on Friday the 28th
Are Apple fanboys this dumb?

This is why I want Epic to lose.

This type of people need protection.

vffhfhf··on Independent Inida
Looks like some nationalistic bull-crap.

Diversity only does not lead to success or innovation.

Diversity lead to the same problem as with LINUX Distro.

vffhfhf··on Fungus at Chernobyl absorbs nuclear radiation via radiosynthesis
It used melanin to convert radiation to energy.

Damn.

We are so much alike.

Its kinda funny every living organism in the earth is kinda related to us humans and we to them.

Earth is just a biosphere.

vffhfhf··on Epic Games is also suing Google over Fortnites removal from the Play Store
Is epic store an operating system?

Android, ios are.

I dont think you understand the issue with monopoly and how they ruin competition.

vffhfhf··on Epic Games is also suing Google over Fortnites removal from the Play Store
That fortnight Oneplus deal is the smoking gun here.

I hope regulators grow some balls.

vffhfhf··on Apple removes Fortnite from App Store after Epic attempts to bypass fees
I dont think people here actually understand why monopolies are bad.

Its not for consumers. Consumers will always feel safe with what they have.

Its to not stifle the competition.

Look what happened to vine.

A competitor bought it, twitter. Gutted it and left it. It could have been next tiktok in a few years. We would never know.

How many competitor have google and apple stiffed?

vffhfhf··on Stopping deepfake news with an AI algorithm that can tell when a face doesnt fit
People believe what they want to believe.

Just a basic search and 5 minutes in wikipedia about a topic will make you better than most people who sprout nonsence.

But you got to have a right mindset.

Human brain hates change. You have to force the bitch to take in new information and process it and prepare it for further info on the topic.

vffhfhf··on Firefox Voice
See 2 sentence and I know its not for you.

I have been waiting fot this for years.

I want to use voice to control browser. Like I am doing something and say " hey firefoxy / googley open reddit on the side".

You got to broaden your thinking. Other people like other shit.

vffhfhf··on Yoloface-500k: ultra-light real-time face detection model, 500kb
I also believe it was idiotic.

Focusing too much on negative aspect of thing will lead you nowhere.

Manhattan project gave >500 research papers. Gave us Iodine 131 and other radio nucleotide which we use in medicine. And gave us lasting peace. So was it bad or not?

Is gene editing bad? was the internet bad? Was the dude who invented round wheel bad?
