https://vlad.studio is the project of Russian digital artist Vlad Gerasimov. In 1998 I started to design user interfaces for web sites and software applications. However, when I had some free time, I created desktop wallpapers. Over the time, this hobby has grown into business, and today I enjoy full-time self-employment, creating wallpapers for your computers and mobile devices. I love what I do, and I am happy that many people around the world love it, too!

vladstudio··on Show HN submissions tripled and now mostly share the same vibe-coded look
reminds me of a short fun tweets exchange, something like:

- all designs are going to be AI generated and look the same

- well unless you ask your agent to make it look different

vladstudio··on Ask HN: What are you working on? (July 2025)
hey! these kinds of keyboard related things are well solved by Karabiner elements:

https://karabiner-elements.pqrs.org/

There you can map (whatever key) to (whatever other key). E.g. I have right command mapped to F20, available to all other apps .

vladstudio··on The hamburger-menu icon today: Is it recognizable?
On my personal website I decided to have a button that has both hamburger icon and the word "menu" (on mobile version). Had no complaints!

vladstudio··on Cursor 1.0
Yes, something like that. As probably many of you, I spent way too much time switching between agentic apps, switching between models inside these apps, and tweaking system prompts for these models.

When Ampcode took it all away from me, I found I enjoyed the actual AI-assisted coding much more than configuring. Of course, largely because it just worked. Granted, I had enough experience with other AI tools to manage my expectations.

vladstudio··on Cursor 1.0
I must mention https://ampcode.com/manual which is my favorite toy of them all right now. Has almost no settings; uses Claude 4, no way to change model; just works! (Unfortunately, not a paid comment.)
vladstudio··on Amp: An agentic coding tool for VSCode / CLI
I saw this posted recently without anyone noticing and wanted to give this tool another shot: I've been using it for about a week, and it's worth your attention not less than Cline, Roo Code and many more.

you wrote this comment completely by your own, right? without any AI involved. And I read your comment feeling confident that it's truly 100% yours. I think this reader's confidence is what the OP is talking about.

vladstudio··on Ask HN: Best static site generator for non-designer?
My vote goes to Astro.build, a pretty new but very solid tool that seems to fit your needs well. It's Javascript but nothing extra-challenging and the docs are awesome.

- Pick a theme: https://astro.build/themes/ - Pick where to deploy: https://docs.astro.build/en/guides/deploy/ - write your content in markdown or JSX templates (very easy to learn if you're new to it)

vladstudio··on Okay, I Like WezTerm
Upvote! I tried Mac Terminal, iTerm2, Kitty, Warp, etc etc, and settled with WezTerm. Easy to configure, fast, looks nice. I created a theme for it too:

I believe this is where smarter tools like Kadoa [0] can be of help. It detects data structure changes for existing workflows, and adapts to them.
