wazer5··on Is the Q source the origin of the Gospels?
All four Gospels have an origin in Eastern philosophy such as Confucianism, making it to Judea around 150 BCE via the Silk Road.

- Jesus & Confucius: Treat others as you would like to be treated yourself.

- Jesus & Buddha: Love your enemies and forgiving those who wrong you.

- Jesus & Laozi: Those who humble themselves will be elevated.

- Jesus & Confucius: Emphasized cultivating inner virtue and sincerity above formal rituals.

- Jesus & Buddha: Non-Attachment to Material Wealth

- Jesus& Buddha : Compassion

- Jesus & Confucius: Remove the log from your eye before the speck from another.

- Jesus & Laozi: "I am the path to truth"

Biden administration decided to halt plans to weaponize space started under Trump. This mothballing decision was made in early 2022 and led to said reactions by Elon.

Low earth orbit is easy to hit with anti-satellite missiles, can even use ASM-135 which is a interceptor fired from a fighter jet.

GPS altitudes and up are a different story.

wazer5··on Pentagon looking to make sure SpaceX doesn’t abandon them in war
Biden administration locked Elon out of the big contracts that Trump was giving out (global missile defense). He has since aligned himself very publicly with Republicans.
wazer5··on Pentagon looking to make sure SpaceX doesn’t abandon them in war
Common sense and circumstantial evidence suggests Elon was planning major DoD support including global missile defense as early as 2001.

- SpaceX first contract was DARPA Falcon Project (part of Prompt Global Strike). Possibly even where the Falcon name came from. (mentioned in parent article)

- SpaceX founding contracts with NASA were awarded by Elon's friend Michael D. Griffin https://wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_D._Griffin#Career who architected global missile defense and designed space-space interceptors for SDI. His NASA COTS program was an unprecedented award and given to SpaceX before they had even flown a rocket. He also awarded CRS to SpaceX just before leaving office. This constituted 85% of all SpaceX funding (remaining 15% was Elon and a few investors). https://wikipedia.org/wiki/SpaceX#2005%E2%80%932009:_Falcon_... Griffin was so important to Elon that it is rumored he named his first son after him (Griffin Musk).

- Griffin went on in 2019 to start the Space Development Agency where he advocated for global satellite constellations of sensors and space weapons. First contracts were given to SpaceX after Starlink seemed viable. https://wikipedia.org/wiki/Starlink#Military_capabilities

Lately it's unclear if Elon is still supportive of said programs as fervently as he did in the early days. He's still hiring for Starshield..

wazer5··on “Internet in space” will transform the satellite imagery industry
When Mike Griffin started the Space Development Agency under Trump in 2019, he said we need LEO constellations to track hypersonic missiles and be proliferated to be robust against anti-satellite tech. However, existing MEO satellites have proven capable of tracking hypersonics just fine. Meanwhile LEO satellites are way more vulnerable to ASAT, they can be directly hit. No... LEO only makes sense when you look at Mike Griffin's history working on the Strategic Defense Initiative. He sees LEO constellations of sensors as the first step to including space-based kinetic interceptors (hypersonic reentry vehicles, aka space weapons) which need to be close to Earth in LEO to work. He is part of the hawks in Washington trying to build a space-based power projection system for boost-phase interception and prompt global strike.

The whole thing seems built on deceit.

wazer5··on “Negative/hate tweets will be max deboosted and demonetized”
Besides COTS and CRS contracts, Griffin connected Elon with his early employees (incl Tom Mueller) and gave the reusable rocket idea.

Dwarfing all that in the long term is the missile defense system (Space Development Agency project) that Griffin started in 2019.

wazer5··on Modeling Starlink Capacity
COTS wasn't delivery-based, they got most of the funding in the concept phase, way before a working rocket.

wazer5··on SpaceX nails triple booster landing after satellite delivery
I think their customers would be more comfortable with (re)using a Caught fairing, so that was Plan A. Also not all fairings are the same. Most have acoustic blankets and other components that need to maintain strict ratings. Remember, many payloads are more expensive than the rocket and the fairing requirements are usually margined-up by the satellite manufacturer to avoid blame for failure.
