webdoodle··on ‘You Are Done’: The letter sent to King by the F.B.I (2014)
COINTELPRO was the physical intimidation and enforcement operation when Operation Mockingbird's total information control of corporate media failed to convince people that democracy was real. Even when both got exposed, the corporate media basically ignored Mockingbird because they were complicit.

Fast forward to today, and the only difference is they now own all the Social Media and A.I. If you want truth in journalism, support small local journalists, and ignore corporate news.

webdoodle··on Brown student maps the hidden global labor powering AI
As the author suspects: "That makes unionizing or anything like that just kind of impossible. "

It's preemptive union busting.

webdoodle··on The No Kings Takedown Is Why You Shouldn't Rent Your Megaphone from Zuck
I organized a peaceful protest in Sun Valley Idaho in 2021 on Reddit, and within 10 days my account was suspended, all my 15 years of posts and comments deleted. This was done in parallel with an operation conducted by an army of psyop bots that would try to scare people about it, claiming I was a terrorist, crazy, etc.

I was surveilled and harassed by the FBI during this time as well.

I've put some of this online on substack

webdoodle··on How Quickly Can the DoD Rebuild and Recast the Munitions Industrial Base?
Most military facilities become so polluted they can't be used for anything else safely after.
webdoodle··on A city-building game in which the city would prefer you didn't
Is this strictly humor, or is there practical knowledge here? Honestly can't tell.
webdoodle··on Borland Turbo Basic
They used Turbo Basic in Dbase 3 & 4 as well. It was so useful that Foxpro built a migration tool to port your dbase databases and code to Foxpro. Some of the first floppies I carried with me everywhere were my Dbase databases and basic programs.
webdoodle··on Spymarks, not Watermarks
I ditched my smartphone nearly 7 years ago now. I quit online gaming before that. I described it like this to the head of AI for the state of Montana: "I'm airgapping myself against how this technology will be abused."
webdoodle··on Teleoperated Humans
The wiki describing the US in this story reminds me of the opening scenes to Soylet Green.
webdoodle··on Paramount Caught Using 'Astroturf' Group to Drum Up Fake Support for Merger
Stop Operation Mockingbird
webdoodle··on US police fear Meta smart glasses could be used to secretly record them
Yep, this doesn't feel organic at all. Meta must be pretty desperate if they are going to go against the blue to sell spyglasses.
webdoodle··on New York Times and The Athletic workers demand company scrap Kalshi deal
Citizen's United was the nail in the coffin for honest journalism, because it sold out to those with the largest wallets. If you truly want truth in journalism support independent journalists financially, and with your attention. Ignore corporate media.
webdoodle··on Flock Safety's controversial CEO just got a taste of his own medicine
Ironically most of the people reading this are doing so on an always connected phone with a fused battery, that they can't trust, because they don't control it. It also has significantly more capabilities that a flock camera, and they likely pay for it too.
webdoodle··on Flock Safety's controversial CEO just got a taste of his own medicine
Don't listen to these hecklers, you have every right to your privacy, and should demand it. Anonymity is paramount if people want to be able to talk without repercussions. Gaslighting, heckling and other forms of harassment are to convince you to self censor. Don't take the bait. Ignore them.
webdoodle··on 11,000-year-old sculpture of man riding a leopard found in Turkey
This is most likely the explanation. Apex predators will often try to kill the seed of an enemy by tearing off their junk. It's much less dangerous than trying to kill the enemy, and it serves the same purpose of ending their genetic line.
webdoodle··on Radiation link in flight attendant's breast cancer, French court finds
Speculation: Most forms of breast cancer occur because of bad protein production from a specific gene. My guess is this flight attendants breast cancer isn't from any known breast cancer gene.
webdoodle··on Andreessen Horowitz is investing billions into a bleak future
Is it really cheating if the system is vulnerable? What about things like a filibuster or slow walking an order?
webdoodle··on My favorite nonfiction books about cults, scams, and schemes
This list is incomplete without Eric Hoffer's True Believer, which is probably a reference/source for all of these other books. It's basically how to build a fanatic, a cult and a mass movement. It's also required reading for Terrorism studies classes, and CIA personnel, the latter, using it to conduct regime change in banarepublics and oil bearing nations.

Of course now it's used on everyone who uses smartphones and social media.

It's a Brave New World, and you're carrying the main tool to mind control you in your pocket. Bonus, you probably pay for it too!

webdoodle··on CIA funding helped keep NeXT afloat in the 80s
> many tech leaders cite patriotism and national renewal in their quest for military contracts, but mutual self-interest is what drove cooperation in the past

How can they be patriots when they do so at the expense of the 1st, 4th, 5th and 10th amendments to the U.S. Constitution? That's not patriotism, it's terrorism.

webdoodle··on A joke domain purchase turned in geopolitical warfare
2 is 1, one is none. I hope they do regular backups too.
webdoodle··on A joke domain purchase turned in geopolitical warfare
FlightAware (ADSB) and MarineTraffic (AIS) systems hide data upon request too. Which is why it's important that citizen scientists run there own receivers.
webdoodle··on AI psychosis is the new leadership blind spot
AI the ultimate yes man, who can't be held accountable, can't be prosecuted, and can't be shutdown.
webdoodle··on Scientists discover Kelvin-Helmholtz Instability on the surface of the Sun
Did they ever discover who was piggy backing off there systems?

webdoodle··on USA Today Co., partners with Palantir to analyze audience data
This is the continuation of Operation Mockingbird. After it was exposed in the 70's by the Pike and Church Committee's, they reorganized privately using Allen & Co's Billaionaire's SummerCamp to consolidate the media (and now Social Media) industries for maximum control of the narrative. Each year they meet to further consolidate the media industry.

I've been protesting there for 7 years now, and this was the first year the Democratic Socialists of America showed up. It was a major improvement. Next year the rest of you need to show up.

webdoodle··on Saber-toothed cats became inbred–and struggled to move–before they went extinct
Yep. For instance it could be from higher cosmic ray penetration into the earth during the last geomagnetic excursion.
webdoodle··on Goes-19 weather satellite enters Safe Hold mode
Invasion of Cuba incoming?
webdoodle··on Satellite Tracker – Live Map of Starlink and 30k Satellites
Whether the pixels are not representative of actual size, seems like putting lipstick on a pig. When I look up at night, I can't see the night sky without several satellites interrupting my view. Even a brief 10 second glance, will produce at least 1.

Their is no communication need that is greater than our need to understand space and space weather. If the satellite operators can't stop destroying the night sky, their launch permission should be removed, so as their old satellites fall, new ones won't be allowed to launch.

Further, if the federal government won't intervene (looking at the U.S. because Starlink). Then states should make those satellite receivers illegal.

webdoodle··on Sony Deletes 551 Movies PlayStation Owners Paid For
A friend of mine owned the first Ipod, and diligently ripped all his cd's and cut and pasted them too his device. I asked if he had backups, and he said he had the cd's. I told him too make a copy, just in case the Apple mafia came too delete his stuff. He didn't, and then after a move he lost or scratched many of his CD's. His only backup WAS the ripped MP3's. A few years later Apple deleted all of his music claiming he hadn't purchased them. He didn't even know how to download music. Every single MP3 he had he ripped himself...
webdoodle··on Dopamine Fracking
Interesting take. Do you think they are intentionally killing curiosity? If so, why?
webdoodle··on Meta's ships facial recognition on smart glasses
Of course they would. They already know who you hate from constant doomscrolling and rage bait. They'll call it asshole avoidance, and charge a premium.
webdoodle··on I am retiring from tech to live offline
I've been smartphone free for over 5 years now. It's been liberating, but its just not enough. I still use my computer to doomscroll for an hour or 2 a day. It takes me hours of hiking alone in the woods afterwards too unwind all the stress and distraction that comes with being connected.

Ironically right around February I started to have similar thoughts as Chad, that perhaps I should become Neo Amish as he calls it. Like Chad, I like disconnected, non-AI technology just fine. But anything that spies on me or tries to modify my behavior needs to go.

Maybe I'll mail Chad a letter and see if he wants to be my penpal.
