wesbos··on JSON formatter Chrome plugin now closed and injecting adware
I noticed this a week ago. Ended up building my own that has all the features I love from using several over the years.

wesbos··on A 10x Faster TypeScript
haha yep, everyone thought it was related to Vite. which I guess I kinda is?
wesbos··on A 10x Faster TypeScript
We had Daniel and Anders on the podcast to talk about the how and why of the native port if anyone is looking for an in-depth discussion → https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZlGza4oIleY
wesbos··on Emoji as a Favicon Using SVG (2022)
This is my site! It does some decent traffic for a joke website
wesbos··on Transformers.js – Run Transformers directly in the browser
Some of the models are quite small and worth doing on-device vs the opposite of sending all the data to the server to process. The other huge benefit here is that transformers run in node.js and getting things running is way easier than trying to get some odd combination of python snd its dependencies to work
wesbos··on Wokwi – Simulate IoT Projects in the Browser
Would I be able to use this to emulate WLED? That would be a huge time saver
wesbos··on 30-Day Vanilla JavaScript Coding Challenge
Best one yet!

Enjoy the course

wesbos··on Ask HN: Is there anything worth purchasing on Black Friday/Cyber Monday?
Awesome! Seeing a few sales come through from this.

Enjoy it!

wesbos··on Ask HN: Is there anything worth purchasing on Black Friday/Cyber Monday?
I've put two of my JavaScript courses on sale for 50% off:

React For Beginners

wesbos··on Ask HN: I need to buy a new office chair, any tips/recommendations?
If you can afford it, the aeron or leap are amazing. Many people make the mistake of sittin in a coworkers or trying it and a store and saying they don't like it. It takes lots of adjustment to get it just right for your body so make sure to spend sometime in a showroom.

I've had the aeron for over a year and I absolutely love it

wesbos··on Show HN: ES6 for Everyone
Just trying to feed my family here and do good work - move along if you don't want to buy it. No need to shit on something I'm especially proud of.
wesbos··on Show HN: ES6 for Everyone
It's not for you then. I just spend a few months of my life working on this course - it's not something you can learns skimming a blog post.
wesbos··on Mailtrain (the open source Mailchimp clone) is getting automation support
I've been following the development of Mailtrain for a few weeks now and I couldn't be more excited for this project. It's super fast, the interface is great and it took about 4 minutes to install locally.

I'm on Sendy right now which has zero segmentation and development seems to have really slowed on much-needed features.

If you do any sort of email sending, this will save you hundreds per month. I've backed the Indie GoGo and I encourage everyone else to do this as well.

wesbos··on Ask HN: What are some good React tutorials?
I'm the author of http://ReactForBeginners.com

I've had 4500 people take it so far and have had tons of positive feedback - take a look!

wesbos··on Now: realtime Node.js deployments
Very cool! I was just saying how hard it is to get someone to deploy a quick node app. Trying it with a React + Express app right now. Taking a while to deploy but I assume you are getting hammered.
wesbos··on Twitter kills TweetDeck for Windows, automates log-ins for TweetDeck users
It's built in html/CSS/js
wesbos··on Developers – Have a Backup Plan
Awesome article - this isn't the first time I've heard that there should be some sort of "Finances for developers" course
wesbos··on Show HN: 1dollarthings.com – an internet dollar store
China subsidizes the postal service to keep up their exports.
wesbos··on What the FlexBox? – A free 20 video course to learn CSS Flexbox
Holla! Lots of good devs in the hammer!
wesbos··on What the FlexBox? – A free 20 video course to learn CSS Flexbox
You'll still need floats to text and images, but this takes care of quite a bit any float based layouts
wesbos··on What the FlexBox? – A free 20 video course to learn CSS Flexbox
Author here - it's just 20 videos broken apart into each topic so when you need to come back to reference something, it's quick.

Is flexbox hard to learn? Yes, but it's because it's such a powerful layout tool. There are tons of gripes about Flexbox, but I've found that if you just put in a few hours to learn it, you are going to be way ahead in your CSS and layout game.

We haven't had to learn anything hard in CSS for years and now it's time. Hunker down and get at it!

wesbos··on Flexbox Froggy: A game for learning CSS flexbox
Love to see new ways of learning like this - I'm the Creator of http://Flexbox.io and this will go hand in hand with the videos.
wesbos··on Show HN: React for Beginners
Ahah - everyone says that.

The backend for this course is Firebase. It's all done client side and Firebase handles the authentication and data handling!

wesbos··on Show HN: React for Beginners
I much prefer video over writing - that said this videos series took about 200 hours of work start-to-finish. Lots of work, but I absolutely love it.
wesbos··on Show HN: React for Beginners
Shoot me an email and I'll get it all fixed up - wes@wesbos.com
wesbos··on Show HN: React for Beginners
Ok! Use the code LAUNCHDAY for an extra $10 off today's price. Enjoy!
wesbos··on Show HN: React for Beginners
Thanks everyone - this kind support means a ton to me.

Is it okay to post coupons on here?
