edit: I'll gladly take a downvote for this, you're talking about screaming at customer support and IM getting downvoted. Constructive group we have here.

If you wanted the user to be able to see the message or cared that they did, you would have made it more obvious what was going on here.
Im pretty sure its explained in the ad: "If someone hurts you, phone us"
I agree it could cause some confusion but how many kids are going to ask their parents after reading the ad? We obviously can't know for sure but I feel like the ad conveys enough information to the point that "this kid was hurt by someone, if this is happening to you call us, we can help"
Was what I was replying to, not insinuating the fact that SendGrid's website going down is a "PR Slide"
I was legitimately upset when I wrote that comment and not thinking the clearest hah
Focus more on getting more recent titles on instant stream and less on how I can spam your website to my friends, who already all are using it heavily anyway.
Hooray cultural ignorance! The more you know.
All "well p2p saves them server cost, reduces latency etc" bullshit aside. No-one EXPECTS that of the application. Its deception. Plain and simple. A vast amount of users don't expect this of the application and that could lead to plenty of consequences unbeknownst to them. Plenty of good reasons have popped up in this thread (data plans being eaten, people with limits imposed by their ISP, work environment concerns)
TL;DR Its negligent of spotify to market for one thing, and then include something like this in such a hidden and unmodifiable sort of way in their program. You want it in there? Fine. Tell me about it up front and give me some control over the upload speed
Im not saying using p2p in spotify is bad, I just want it to be more obvious and at least a way to control its max upload rate in the program itself. The fact that people need to download a 3rd party app to limit spotify from swamping their internet connection is stupid.
