I built an orchestrator app with a nice voice interface so you can just talk to it about all your work in progress - which are sessions in herdr on your machines. That way you can do a lot just by talking to it through phone but when you're back at your desk you see it all in herdr. It's in beta tests with mobile webUI but iOS and Android should come very soon https://pitupitu.com
xfor··on Ask HN: What are you working on? (October 2026)
I’m working on local GitHub-like app where you can comfortably review code written by your agents before the code will ever leave your computer. Once installed, your agent can send you a link to GitWarren each time it will finish a piece of work for you to make a review. The idea is to replicate the GitHub code-review experience.

Free and open source: https://github.com/klarluft/gitwarren-app

It works as a local WebUi or desktop app. Also works well with tailnet and ssh if you review a code on remote machines. If your phone is in tailnet you can make reviews on your mobile.

For example, at some corporate environments, the code that lands on GitHub already needs to be more or less secure and reviewed. Sometimes GitHub may not be the best place to argue with your agent in comments, while all your peers are looking. No matter what's the reason, sometimes it's good to have a nice place to review the work still on your local - VSCode or some simple diff tools are not always enough when your churn through many PRs each day.
xfor··on GitHub code review experience but locally
If you ever felt like you want to have a GitHub code review experience without pushing the code to GitHub you may want to look at GitWarren.

More and more of my work is leveraged by agents orchestrated on my computers and when working for companies where I can't just push unreviewed agent's work to GitHub, I was really looking for a way to nicely iterate on the PR locally (I'm freelance programmer for corporations of all sizes). I checked existing solutions and they were missing some things, so I built my own app that has:

- threads of comments (not just a single comment)

- support for images (both in git diff and in comments so your agents can push and pull images/screenshots)

- general discussion on the PR

- agents can discuss changes between themselves (maybe you ask one agent to review other agent's work)

- you can comment files not related to the change

- you can see uncommitted changes so you can make a review before anything gets committed

- there's mcp/desktop app/cli and webUI so you can choose what you like

- it works with tailnet and ssh (GitWarren talks to other instances on your machines)

- you can make a review on your phone

and the most important

- you can really feel like on GitHub without pushing to GitHub

All this is free and open source. Take a look and leave your feedback - I'm currently pushing an update every day, as I discover more things each day I work with it as my personal code review tool.

xfor··on Leverage Code Review for Sustainable AI Coding Development
When collaborating on big private codebases with many peers contributing to the same repos, my workflow is that I put most of the effort on reviewing things locally, before I even push to github - there my colleagues do a traditional code review (out of respect for them I don’t want to push stuff I haven’t reviewed myself). For that I was really looking for something like my own local GitHub with discussions and threads - since I couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for, I build a desktop app for myself - I believe there must be others in the same need so the tool is now free and open sourced. It’s called GitWarren. I started to also work with remote machines so now working on adding support for doing code reviews where GitWarren reads git through ssh. I’m genuinely excited for all this new ways of working.

I suggested a new sector - "Code Review" - there's a growing landscape of apps trying to solve this in a new agentic paradigm
xfor··on Ask HN: Code review of AI output, review what?
For now, we're still in the loop - even the best models often can overcomplicate things or reinvent the wheel and quick look at the diff can help spot some fundamental issues
