ziggzagg··on Why we moved from Angular 2 to Vue.js, and why we didn’t choose React
React et al are the future Angular 2.
ziggzagg··on Base Rails 5.1 application with pre-configured tools and features
> Base or "skeleton" application for Ruby on Rails 5.1 projects. Built to minimize the time spent writing boilerplate code and performing repetitive setup tasks.

Wasn't Rails 1.0 invented to solve this exact problem? A decade later and after 5 versions we are here?

ziggzagg··on Vue.js and Brunch: Webpack Alternative
I know this will get downvoted, but here I go anyway: Please stop reinventing the wheels. Just stick to one library/framework whatever crap they are. Why? Because your new shiny wheel will be as crap as the old one very soon.

I am myself refusing learning new tools in javascript. I think I have spent enough time learning enough of them. I have a selected set of them, and I turn down projects which fall out of that set. Less money, but better mental health.

ziggzagg··on Flutter – A mobile app SDK for iOS and Android

ziggzagg··on Flutter – A mobile app SDK for iOS and Android
Why is that Flutter does not have a web target? Everything is nice and fast about it, it's a shame that after building a cross mobile apps, you'll app to start the web app from scratch using another platform.
ziggzagg··on Vue.js vs. React
Vue is heavily dominated by Chinese, there is a ton of MD implementations, but hard to judge. One solid MD implementation in vue is https://vuetifyjs.com/ which is not Chinese.
ziggzagg··on Stephen Hawking: I'm Worried about the Future of the NHS

ziggzagg··on Blood Test That Spots Tumor-Derived DNA in Early-Stage Cancers
When this test has a near 100% success rate, how does it help the patients? Can it really prevent cancer?
ziggzagg··on Google Allo is now available on the web
This is not about technology, this is about user war. Back in 2011, Google got seriously scared about Facebook growth. So they naively came up with this Google+ idea, which of course died and joined the long list of Google's embarrassing tries in the social networking space.

It is sad to see the negative effects of Facebook, on one side on users and stealing their privacy and data, and on the other side on giants like Google, who used to create cool projects like Gmail back when the internet was a cool breath.

ziggzagg··on Google Allo is now available on the web
2011: Google tries to compete with Facebook: Google+ 2016: Google tries to compete with Telegram, Whatsapp and aton of other messenger: Allo
ziggzagg··on Google AMP is bad for e-commerce
Mot google projects die organically, with a short life span. No need to keep bashing AMP like this.
ziggzagg··on Side Project Marketing Checklist
Only the marketing part of this "side" project feel like more than a full project to me.
