I don't see how that changes the argument? Still broadcast the time to the ether

Probably because of the YouTube clips side, which is a very large community. Allowing them to download and clip videos to then re-upload to the platform could be considered a "loss leader" in my eyes

Yeah that's just human nature I fear. Nothing to do with politics or geography

Crazy to be self aware of it and blatantly not give af

I missed the "both" on the top of your message sorry!

Isn't apple also a "single party that has the signing keys to run any software..." ?

I can't help but feel you're intentionally missing the point. An iPhone itself isn't secure without iOS, iOS is what supplies the limitations

Graphene is iOS

Probably doesn't have open firewall/ports? Not everyone opens everything when virtual LANs like tailscale exist that can punch through with minimal latency

I use .lan.<domain>.net for my internal servers at work, through cloudflare dns. It's simple, all .lan get resolved to the same IP. And the server has something like caddy or nginx to take the traffic, see the destination, and forward properly into the network

It's a fork of this, check the commit history lol. Appears they forked in April

Works for me, I have my nextcloud webdav saved there since I didn't want to deal with any client bloat. It's not only persisted across reboots, but persisted across platform upgrades (I run fedora KDE)

I do hope we can, I continue to work on custom ROMs after all :)

I just also like to be a realist, and right now things look a bit grim

And you can't tap to pay with PayPal, at least not in my region. Tap to Pay is the big thing

They work fine for me too personally, but not for everyone. Banks are ofc by institution, but with whatsapp there's some flag that can be put on an account which makes them get an "unofficial app" warning and not log in. Which gets cleared by using a stock device or something passing integrity. Definitely a weird situation, but there's plenty of proof out there that they're doing something strange

I'll be honest I wasn't considering off the shelf modem modules in my statement. I was talking about your typical cellphone modem made by Samsung, Qualcomm, mediatek. I'm sure there's some basic options and older broadcomm modems and stuff that still run Linux, but most people's devices don't have those

Normie apps simply don't anymore. WhatsApp will refuse to log you in if it feels your device is modified and then fails a verdict. Google Wallet won't let you tap to pay. Most banks in the EU and basically all virtual ID systems require it

That's a big pain point for the average user

He said nothing about traffic type, that will always be HTTPS and websocket stuff. Nothing out of the ordinary to block there VPN or not

With cross tunneling all your normal traffic would go through your ISP usually and just your porn traffic goes through the VPN. Unless it's a major provider, as far as your ISP is concerned you're just connecting to someone's private server occasionally

I think the political landscape is too divided and not recognizing that actually makes you gullible. These people don't need to chase re-election individually as much as they just need to convince the populus to vote for their party

For years now Americans vote by party, not politician

Saying something is a major catalyst is not saying it's the only catalyst.

Neither parent was being this black and white about it so I have no idea why you are

But that's literally the same with virtually all industries in those regions. Porn isn't some sort of exception

As a custom ROM maintainer in that position, it's unlikely to cause a difference since Google has effectively monopolized their Play Integrity API for attestation. Even Graphene itself runs into this roadblock, and why in the current day it's still a minority user group using it or other ROMs

It definitely meets the bar set in everything you shared too. Nothing there states source code must be shared that I read. He is sharing the end product, which fits all the guidelines

Dolphin can mount network drives just fine?

Can't you just use filesystem permissions? Like, FoxPro under its own user and it's database owned and accessible by FoxPro user only?

The pixel 6 pro runs ShannonOS an RTOS system, it's an exynos modem

I don't think you misunderstood, I think they're talking out their arse. Modems don't run Linux, they run RTOS operating systems. ShannonOS in the case of the Pixel 6 with a exynos modem

To be fair if you could SLTS support by CIP (which is designed for things like this) you have 4.19 at least still maintained. 4.4 might still be too but I'd have to check

I don't know if it's just solely how I use them, but when I've had Gemini commit and push things, it has never added a co-author or anything. I've recently been playing with Claude and Opus 5, and it only does it maybe 75% of the time. I truly don't know why

That's how RCS's Universal Profile is too though as far as I understand with the new encryption standards.

Id rather someone be able to reach out to me with a note the chat is insecure, rather than be unreachable at all

Wireless AA and CarPlay use a hotspot your car emits that your phone connects to and transfers the image/inputs/audio that way

Many forks change the telemetry to their own servers so they won't show at all
