It's as mkl said - a static site generator. It's a Python-based one so I was more comfortable customising it.
- FastAPI for the SaaS itself
- WooCommerce for the accounts and subscriptions
- Nikola for the gallery and feature demonstrations
- FreeAgent for handling all the tax obligations (UK)
I’ve been checking out Ghost CMS recently. It’s looking great so far for content and subscription management.
It also means I've been able to work on "early access books" with regular updates
The last one I remember buying was Metropolis Street Racer - good fun.
If you haven’t checked it out, give Tokyo Xtreme Racer a look
It's mentioned in the article, but it's great that the emulation of original Xbox games has improved such that many games are now playable. I remember checking back every year to see if I could finally play Jet Set Radio Future (JSRF), and one day eventually being able to get in the game and play! It's hinted in the article but I look forward to the day when JSRF has better emulation. They've done great work to get it this far already!
It's a shame JSRF wasn't re-released on Steam like JSR... also a shame that they couldn't use the original soundtrack when re-releasing Crazy Taxi, so I still prefer to emulate on Dreamcast despite owning it on Steam.

I use a static site generator that I've modified with features that I needed!

However, I prefer IBM Plex[1], and it has the advantage of being an open-source project!
I have recently re-designed my CV (15 pages down to 2) and used IBM Plex for all of it... happy so far.
Some users are making requests up to 20MB - so the next step will be to compress payloads on the sender side!
I'm British - "mate" is used often but it doesn't sound as friendly as when Aussies use it!
I thought it was good at the time, i.e. "Mate, for your information...", e.g. "m8.fyi/something". However... it seems that many people don't recognise "m8.fyi/item" as a URL!
Gitea was quite easy to set up, I just had to run the executable from my local server and I was up and running! I've recently become more concerned with hosting my data off-premises, so I use this local Gitea instance when something doesn't need to be public-facing.
I was pleasantly surprised with an unforeseen advantage - speed! I have a few Unity projects that can be on the larger side, but pushing/pulling to them is quick in comparison to GitHub.
I was spending 16+ hours a day on the project up until the launch. I organised myself with a local Gitea (https://gitea.com) installation and creating issues that I assigned to myself. I started off using Kanban within Gitea too, but as it was just me, I ended up preferring to use issues directly. Each day was focussed on making progress on the current issue!
I only launched Plotapi 3 days ago, so time will tell how I end up planning the days/weeks!
Most avoid it or don't realise it's a URL!

Besides that - the comments are incredible
You're right of course - 6 of the 11 parts in the book are dedicated to chord diagrams. Shortly after starting the book I started exploring chord diagrams again and was enjoying creating visualisations with them a little too much.
Please bear in mind that it's an early access book that I'm still working on. I can see you grabbed a copy when it was listed at 7.49 (it increases as I add more), and I have to defend it a little and say I don't believe the book is crap, just incomplete! I have been working on custom visualisations which will be working their way into the D3.js and Data is Beautiful book soon.
Anyway, thank you for the feedback, I have sent an email to offer a refund, because selling the books is supposed to support further work, and I don't feel comfortable if someone feels unhappy after doing that.
