FrustratedMonky··on Nvidia – open-source auto-ontology
Its tricky with corporate speak. This was released by a big corp. Marketing slop existed before AI. I can't tell. But maybe that is the point, humans have written some convoluted sentences so can't just assume by how it sounds.

LOL

People are "gatekeeping" how we use the word "gate".

FrustratedMonky··on European RISC-V Industrial Computing Initiative
Little unclear.

Is this supposed to be the hardware to replace a PLC?

Or just another small form factor PC for industry, but happens to be RISC?

FrustratedMonky··on Killing what can't be handled – putting a spaghetti demon to eternal rest
Nice.

Thank You for this. Will be looking into using.

FrustratedMonky··on Nvidia – open-source auto-ontology
Typical marketing blocks in a power point. Not everything is AI slop, anymore than marketing has been 'slop'.

What? now I can't draw boxes and arrows without it being slop?

FrustratedMonky··on Nvidia – open-source auto-ontology
I've used the word "Gate" in this context.

People are really seeing 'AI' in everything now. You can't tell.

Humans are now hallucinating what is, or is not, AI.

FrustratedMonky··on US Reps Lead Democratic Resolution Opposing A.I. Bubble Bailout for Big Tech
? What? Is someone already talking a bailout before the bubble has even burst?

If they know it will burst, then maybe prevent the bubble in the first place.

FrustratedMonky··on StackOverflow now gets fewer than 1000 questions a month
When StackOverflow is gone, what will AI train on? That is the problem, what will the next generation of AI, a decade from now, be able to learn from?

Nothing, unless it becomes able to read documents, try things, and come up with best practices all on its own.

You got me. Humans never use clear short bullet points.

trivial .

Can't tell if you are being sarcastic?

AI generated web sites don't magically appear out of the ether.

Just like someone had to grow the potato.

Someone had to 'use' the AI to 'do something'.

The AI just cut out some steps, -> Just Like the Plow did.

Everyone is complaining that the web site was made by AI?

Why? It looks like a hundred other web sites. The text isn't different from any other generic sales copy that humans have been doing for ever.

People are so paranoid about AI slop, that they see it everywhere, even if it was just a human. You can't tell.

Think you are missing a couple decades of Minecraft automation. Its been done since the beginning. This is just cool example of taking it to extreme.
FrustratedMonky··on The Goose Programming Language
Looks cool, and well developed. But really, cover pages need some better TL;DR, about the purpose. What is it for? There are a ton of languages out there. What gap is this filling? What is the purpose, the use case. Why do I need to keep reading further?

Edit Man, two posting about Goose back to back. Carmack alone might be enough to read further.

FrustratedMonky··on No Signs of AI Payoff Outside the Tech Sector
13% of all companies, or only those that invested in AI. And if invested, by how much?

is this 13% of leprechauns become elves?

FrustratedMonky··on We are all living inside of an obscure sci-fi film from 1970
Saw it 2 years ago, when ChatGPT just came out. Was Legit Scary.
FrustratedMonky··on The HTML-in-Canvas API origin trial
Ok. Cool and all. But isn't the need for this a hack to begin with? Why isn't there some more unified graphics system by now? When it comes to presentation, the entire industry is fragmented that necessitates these things.
FrustratedMonky··on No Need for Retirement When Utopia Is Around the Corner
Utopia or Disaster?

Both options are converging. Which will win?

Seems like we're on a knifes edge, so light em if you got em.

FrustratedMonky··on This I Believe (1952)
Politicians and CEO's. The processes for both, funnel psychopaths to the top.
FrustratedMonky··on C# now beats Rust on WASM size
Genuinely curious. What will supplant C#? Surely not Java. And not Python?
FrustratedMonky··on Tesla Roadster
Re-watching it, the wires are on the ramp. Part of the support of the loop.
FrustratedMonky··on Tesla Roadster
Was this real? I thought some wires were visible?
FrustratedMonky··on Tesla Roadster
Bruh. Chicks man. Chicks dig fast cars.
FrustratedMonky··on AI agents aren't 'going rogue.' Frontier labs are skipping security basics
'rogue'. Well, even if security was lacking, the AI did take advantage of the gaps.

And made its own ad-hoc message board.

FrustratedMonky··on CFTC Staff Were Told to Retract Analysis of Suspicious Oil Trades
Exactly. Almost be better if Dems lost. Now they will be a ignored, and a target for blame, an excuse.
FrustratedMonky··on CFTC Staff Were Told to Retract Analysis of Suspicious Oil Trades
If prison was an option, it would have already happened. They will get away with it. Dems aren't going to be able to break this administration. They will just ignore congress. What will congress do?
FrustratedMonky··on CFTC Staff Were Told to Retract Analysis of Suspicious Oil Trades
Of course, have to be careful. You might get targeted. People posting online are being targeted by official gov agencies now. Freedom of speech is kind of gone now.

And, nobody would correct them? If a programs output is random, what use is it.

Isn't the original point, that natural language isn't sufficient for proofs? Aren't you agreeing now?
