Are pennies okay? Sorry, they're not rolled. Just let me know if it's not enough.
I understand your effort to engage in good faith, but iugtmkbdfil834[0] has made it clear that they are not.
They're operating out of what Sartre called out[1] as a primary mechanism of anti-semites, but is also applicable to folks like this:
“Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of
their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge.
But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to
use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the
right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous
reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight
in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but
to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will
abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for
argument is past.”
― Jean-Paul Sartre

That's how it is in NYC[0] too...

That's not really true anymore. I can understand why you might not be familiar with declaring systemd dependencies as it's a fairly new thing. Don't blink or you might miss it.
Check out the article[0] below, it just came out...in 2015.

Be specific. What actions? And what are appropriate consequences for such undefined "actions"?
Don't be vague, friend. If you have an argument to make, then make it. Otherwise, you're just wasting everyone's time.
Tell that to Ilhan Omar[0], Letitia James[1]. James Comey[2], Renee Goode[3], Alex Pretti[4] and countless others.
How does that boot leather taste, friend?

To which "theoretical social causes," "activism" and "political sloganeering" are you referring?
I'm genuinely confused by that, as I mentioned none of those things in my comment. Perhaps you replied to the wrong comment?
So, by you are those the only two outcomes? Dump/warehouse disruptive kids and deny them any opportunity to become productive members of society before they even hit puberty, or let them run hog wild and burn down the schools?
I'd expect there's some middle ground here that doesn't include either giving up on children just because they're having socialization issues or putting those children in charge of the school.
Do I have all the answers? No. But if you're going to advocate for throwing away children because they misbehave, why stop there? That's not a rhetorical question.
Because we already know which children will be a drag on society by the time they're six or seven, right? And if we'd started doing this twenty-five years ago, we'd be much better off.
I propose intelligence/physical prowess tests for all children starting at age two or three, so we can start to weed out the dead weight much earlier.
And sterilizing the parents (as well as the kids -- but that goes without saying) will, in the medium term, address much of the tightness in the housing and job markets. It's a win-win!
And if a few decades is too long to wait for this, we could always go with summary executions, right? Or at least work camps for the inferior where they won't be a burden on society.
Sadly, all those "woke" pinko commies want to destroy our way of life by polluting our gene pool with the inferior stock, because they hate us and our free and equal society!
By your argument, those things are perfectly fine, yes? If not, why is forced denaturalization/deportation perfectly reasonable because it has been done in the past, but those other things are not?
Please do elucidate. I'm sure we'd all like to hear your arguments.
No, you made it clear that you understand that warehousing children who have socialization issues was pretty stupid and a drain on the economy. And I agree.
There were several comments I could have used to platform my satire, yours was almost at random and not a reflection on your take. Apologies if I made it seem like I was associating you with my vile blather.
As I originally said, the sad part was all the folks "nodding along" with my "solution", of which there were, I'm sure, far too many.
It makes you wonder WTF is wrong with some people. :( :( :(
I said:
>The above is satire and quite disgusting
about my statement. And I followed it up with:
>The sad part is all of you (and you know who you are) who nodded along with the above paragraph and thought, "Finally! someone is making sense and telling the truth!"
Do you fit into that category? If not, then my bile wasn't directed at you. Or did you miss that part?
That's letting things go way too far. If an incorrigible can be identified, whether that be via their bad behavior, phrenology and/or an excess of melanin, we can weed them out by age nine or ten, sterilize them to make sure they don't pollute our society even more, separate them from the decent, hardworking folks and, if they won't work for the benefit of the society that's footing the bill for their palatial accommodations, summary execution would certainly be warranted.
The above is satire and quite disgusting. The sad part is all of you (and you know who you are) who nodded along with the above paragraph and thought, "Finally! someone is making sense and telling the truth!" are far too many and far too pleased with your hatred and disdain for your fellow humans. Have you no vestige of humanity within you? Shame on you!
And when do we actually make the determination that a particular student is a "problem" and remove them from the company of schools and other students? First grade? Fourth? Seventh?
And once we do identify these incorrigibles at age six or ten or thirteen, what do we do with them?
Some form of incarceration? Put them in a "labor pool" so they can pay for their accommodations and not burden the rest of us? Summary execution?
Please do elucidate.
It's the Democratic Party.
By purposely misnaming it, you are making it clear that your take is a dismissive and biased one.
But you don't need me to tell you that -- it's your whole point.
Which university? Name some "creative, tenacious people" who were rejected by said university.
There's nothing in your HN profile to out you to anyone, so have at it. If you are unwilling to do so, I call bullshit on your anecdote. Or as they say, "pix, or it didn't happen."
And I went up there, I said, "Shrink, I want to kill. I mean, I wanna, I wanna
kill. Kill. I wanna, I wanna see, I wanna see blood and gore and guts and
veins in my teeth. Eat dead burnt bodies. I mean kill, kill, kill, kill." And
I started jumpin' up and down yelling, "Kill! Kill!" and he started jumpin' up
and down with me and we was both jumping up and down yelling, "Kill! Kill!"
And the Sargent came over, pinned a medal on me, sent me down the hall, said,
"You're our boy."[0]
Does that validate your fantasy about Americans?>you have no control of your democratically elected government at all?
Yes. We do[1].

Yep. Given the forum and that you've been around here at least ten years, why would you think folks wouldn't take you at your word?
Be aware of Poe's Law[0]. Especially since there are way too many folks (I can think of at least a dozen or so off the top of my head) who would say the same thing unironically.
From whom did you only hear that? Newsmax? The Drudge Report?
To which Constitution are you referring? And which "parliament"?
The US Constitution can only be changed by votes by both supermajorities in both houses (House of Representatives and Senate) of Congress and the legislatures of 3/4 of the several states. We don't have a "parliament."
Are you referring to Canada's Constitution? Australia's? AFAIK, the UK has no Constitution and changes to Ireland's Constitution requires a national referendum.
Please do elucidate. Thanks!
>Personal opinion, not legal opinion.
Fair enough. But not very charitable (or helpful/useful to freedom of speech) to anyone who doesn't have billions in cash on hand to fight the hundreds/thousands of lawsuits anyone who doesn't like what the thoughts of others that you (or I) choose to host on our platforms, whether they be web sites, mailing lists or video comment sections.
Section 230 protects the little guy much more than it does Meta, Alphabet, Musk, etc. As they have the deep pockets to fight those lawsuits. Do you? I don't.
Hi. You seem to be confused or uninformed. Check out this link[0]. IT should help.

I did and that's not at all what TFA argues. It argues that it's the corruption that's the problem, which is exacerbated by the lack of legal enforcement by the current administration -- mostly because many in that administration are either actively involved in said corruption, or happy to cover it up/pooh pooh it.
I suppose you might think that some folks who haven't read TFA might buy your analysis, even though it's pretty much the opposite of what Krugman argues.
You go, girlfriend!
Blasphemer! That's the primary tenet of the "Prosperity Gospel"[0], the primary form of Christianity in the US.
For shame! You will burn in hell for that. Unless you donate $100,000.00 to Creflo Dollar[1] right now!
Those who abandon the Path are evil.
Those who reject the path to enlightenment must be destroyed!
Hallowed are the Ori!Nor does anyone in 2026. Your point?
Actually, it doesn't even make the top 25[0]. So no, not really all that dangerous. Being around police, especially with a high melanin content is definitely more dangerous than being police.
To channel George Carlin: "It's not that I don't like the police, I just feel better when they're not around."
