We're actively trying to move to a 100% open source tech stack (Super hard to do).

Hence trying to see if there are any Open source tools we have missed out. There are many alternatives the community has mentioned that would have been super hard to find out otherwise.

Sometimes getting started as a contract worker/part time consultant and then transitioning to a full time role would be easier.

(This helps in building confidence for the recruiter)

There are tons of barriers to Open source in the first place.

The 2 big problems are: 1) Discovery (Knowing the right tools)

2) Friction to use Open source, self host, understanding documentation... - Even trying one tool takes a lot of effort to use the tool.

Typically open source projects migrate to productising their services to have financial stability to support their community and customers.

Open source can either be sponsored, have a Cloud version or ask for support fees, isn't that the natural transition for an open source product?

I think there are legal limitations like IP and compliance for some industries that make it tricky.
