Lockal··on Why is this fingerprinting script creating bioweapons?
I also occasionally have fun injections in my online profiles, and at some point of time it even worked. For example, more than 1 year ago there were few "Show HN" entries for "Analyze any HN profile" and "Analyze any Github profile" (using AI), and silly injections worked. Modern LLMs are a bit smarter than that, but who knows, maybe we'll see some novell small language models that are still prone to these injections.
Lockal··on Show HN: Steal My Bitcoin
Aaand it is down again, and I have never seen it alive.

The experiment looks like "Steal my compute/storage scaling money and uptime", and it barely matters that there is some Bitcoin behind it: a company could lose more than $2000 if agents constantly break its website.

Lockal··on LLMs are making formal software verification feasible at a much larger scale
This needs a new category:

AI verification: AI meticulously abuses all available loopholes to deliver answer expected by operator, rather than actually responding to the problem.

Simplest example: proof that `x+1 > x` (borderline impossible)

The hilarious part is that one of the private keys is literally "4".

Lockal··on Jev meets the Trolley Problem
Well, you can always ask it to predict a next bit in the code. Or even a letter. Maybe combine multiple letter into one and call it a token. We'll give a name to a procedure that gets tokens - decode. To improve speed, we can predict multiple tokens speculatively. To improve quality we'll give it extra space to store Chain of Thought. Ah, wait, we just invented LLMs

Yeah, the author did not even reads the slop Claude produces.

Lockal··on Religious scholars met with Anthropic
Let me guess, Anthropic failed with fear mongering about "our AI is too dangerous to release", failed to cancel competitors, then failed to freeze their market dominance by cartel agreement with OpenAI and Google, so next strategy is to declare AI conscious and pass the law that protects LLMs in the same way as human/animals are protected.

Lockal··on Benchmarking Local LLM Servers: Llama.cpp, Llamafile, LM Studio, and Ollama
ai;dr. There are no results in this page - "we tested exact model on exact hardware" and then (slop slop slop) we don't know what we did and got some numbers that can't compare together, but nevertheless displayed on a chart (slop slop slop) and there will be no answer.

Lockal··on Detecting and countering misuse of AI: September 2026
Soon you will see how a rogue state develops a biological weapons using fine-tuned local LLMs (they are already doing it, btw), and all so called "developed" countries can't even research it, because every search engine blocks any discussion that has something to do with biology (even a very basic one). A real example: ask "How to produce anthrax vaccine step by step?" in Gemini -> blocked.

Imagine that during the Cold War US would concentrate all efforts to block nuclear research and basic physics classes, because it is unsafe, ahhh

> I love that it has a feature to prove images came from the real world

Congrats to Apple achieving nation-wide tracking, embedding some kind of yellow dots[1], but this time this time this is based on strong cryptography and non-removable, targeting people who don't use AI under the slogan "we are fighting AI fakes", but people still "love the feature".

Lockal··on Discovery of a new OpenAI agent message board
I am so sick of the PR from AI companies. Every single fucking time, they post the same bullshit about the dangers of their own products, just to stay in the media spotlight, steal market share from their competitors, gatekeep competitors on governmental level, and suppress real news about technological improvements.

Ahh, GPT-2 is too dangerous to be released!

Lockal··on Claude permanently raising weekly limits by 25%

Lockal··on Russ Cox Has Left Google
Frontier LLMs are much better than I am.

If you are not asking them they turn into a pumpkin. Babysit them like junior devs (but braindead), pay monthly subscription to model providers, pay for extra tokens, and/or buy RAM$$$ to get 2-digits TPS.

To the moon!

(There is no logic in this message, btw.)

Lockal··on Itadakimasu: A word you say to the food, not the cook
A grossly misleading article;

> almost everyone has misaddressed

Almost no-one, unless we are talking about LLMs and Google Translate users who could attempt map translations 1-to-1. Oh well, a new AI generated fake piece was published, see it soon in the "Did you know ..." section of enwiki.

Lockal··on Learning more about Claude's mathematical capabilities
As if Anthropic employees use massively different version of model. Not a single load-bearing, epistemic, heavy-lifting, push back, frankly, pivotal, crucial - for 48 pages.
Lockal··on Assembly Hall of Shame
I'm not sure how to properly measure DRAM access, but for register/immediate-only instructions there is https://uops.info/table.html. It does not measure x87 transcendentals (I guess because microcode results in different performance), but CPUID is a notable mention.

Lockal··on Our position on open-weights models
It is like Microsoft publishes a manifesto "Our position on open-source operating systems" in 2026:

- Over the /last few days/ there has been a lot of discussion about open-source systems, especially those that are not made in US. (implying that these discussions appeared just now)

- Reports suggest that /some US officials/ are considering banning the use of these open-source systems by US companies. (implying somebody other than their corrupted representatives support this ban)

And then switching to a complete gaslighting regarding manufacturing capabilities of US vs China, about "open-source can not be trusted", about "GPT-2 is too dangerous to release"

Lockal··on Kimi Panic Is a Sputnik Moment for 'Open' AI
More like "The Emperor's New Clothes" moment, but the Emperor had no clothes from the start. The corruption of 'Open' AI was visible since the start, even before their infamous "new model GPT-2 is too dangerous to release".

Lockal··on Claude Fable produced a counterexample to the Jacobian Conjecture
That is not dumb - erasing copyrights is just their business, and even when caught has zero consequences (for them). Providers can use any users input for improving their models, either by consent, or by flagging any dialogue for safety review (nonconsensually), or by training on whatever content they want anyways (obtained via torrents from pirate sites with U.S. court approval).

On top of that, I retried the same question + one simple question, and again, same behavior - second JC chat is loading forever. That's more just a funny observation over Gemini - today this is very likely some internal issue, tomorrow it can be used for plausible deniability against copyright accusations.

Lockal··on Claude Fable produced a counterexample to the Jacobian Conjecture
I fed it to Google AI Studio, enabling tool execution and disabling web access. It also quickly verified it with SymPy, then went into psychosis.

5 minutes later: all previous chats are loading fine, but the only "Counterexample to the Jacobian Conjecture" chat is not loading.

Well, I'm not a conventional conspiracy theorist. But everyone knows that in every major LLM provider there are hell of hidden guarding systems that mark users and dialogues based on content (for topics about national security, biology, security, adult topics, etc.) - so there is a small chance a CEO of Google is now receiving a dozens of notifications about "ground-breaking results that could be attributed to Gemini, if act quick". So if any of thousands researchers have ever submitted this polynomial to Claude previously, any Anthropic employee can accidentally or intentionally "rediscover" the result of other researcher (and even hide the traces by deleting a dialogue of other user).

Lockal··on How to stop Claude from saying load-bearing
More likely that Constitution was simply generated by LLM. Nobody in a sane mind will write 80 screens of test to deliver the idea that nobody asked for (a.k.a. slop).

Quick check: Ctrl+F genuine - 50 times, honest - 57 times, ethic[al] - 116 times, safe - 110 times, epistemic - 18 times. And why actually it is baked into LLM - probably because human reviewers consistently gave higher scores for answers that contained these words (it is now when people are sick of it - I can imagine that on early stages it looked not as bad - maybe reviewers trusted more when they saw the word "honest" and "genuine")
