I feel exactly the same way. HTMX is a godsend. That and a Tailwind UI purchase can make anybody very dangerous at frontend. I'm curious for other viewpoints though: what exactly about js gives that icky feeling. For me it's just the inconsistent syntax. With TS, on the other hand just seeing a node modules folder makes me nauseous. The whole thing gives me a feeling of a lack of control over what's happening and has thrown me off front end for many years until now
Spoilers for Three Body Problem: For instance, I can never forget the way the Alcubierre drive is explained in the final book, or the benefits of particle accelerator with the circumference of the asteroid belt
If you think the blog post is bad, just watch the video on windsor's website: https://www.windsor.io/#video
The CEO plainly says he has time to work on other important things. Jesus, even creating the video in the first place, requires you to say Hey First Name
Could you please elaborate and perhaps link relevant literature, I've been fascinated with inflammation
This is more of a hacker perspective though. All my non technical friends have been seduced by offers of either Alexa or Google Home. Because in my region, they are commonly sold at a huge price discount with almost any medium to large purchase. EX: Buy a laptop - Google Home at 50% off
> If it succeeds even a little, though, they'll bake it into our TVs
My mom LOVES being able to search for content using Alexa on the Firestick remote, so this is the most terrifying and likely possibility by far
> I stopped watching baseball when this scandal was uncovered.
Do you really think that this is the only scandal that's going on right now? Or that it started with this particular instance? There's probably so much going on behind the scenes since decades now that the sport has likely never been fair or clean. And this is not just baseball, it's with every sport up to and including the Olympics
I guess I'm just trying to understand why people watch sports in the first place. Because for the vast majority, it is almost ALWAYS because it's an exhibition game and/or entertainment and the notion of fair play is the last thing on their minds..
Literally a line from the article. Clickbait headline
> millions of women who will reconsider whether they want to be in a public facing role at all — is an existential problem for representative democracy.
Wow, really? Seems like needless fear mongering to me
What?! I mean sure the culture at both is very meme focused but the similarities pretty much end there

Personally, I think Facebook, Twitter et al should never have regulated content and should have censored things only after a valid court order is received (from local jurisdictions). Everything else should have been the wild west
I mean most casual users don't use laptops already, either preferring their phones or tablets. Those that do, need it for work (or a nicher crowd - gaming). And there's no way in hell the primary buyers of Dell, HP and lenovo computers, companies, with no reason to pay the apple tax will pay for expensive 1000$+ MBPs for each employee
Or stop needlessly labeling things
