"Someone is gathering every crumb you drop..."
Oh, the Internet? You had no trouble sending me the 404 page, so why not just send me the page with Bard on it?
Sometimes you aren't skilled or knowledgeable enough to help, and you'll just do more harm than good if you try.
Sometimes by helping, you'll cause more harm to yourself than you'll prevent in the other person.
Etc.
What is the simpler choice? Choosing the defaults that are built-in already, or the defaults new users will expect?
I write concurrent code without much extra effort compared to non-concurrent code. Elixir makes it easy.

I just gave up on the series after book 4. I felt the original main character wasn't getting enough screen time, and didn't really like the newer characters as much.
Even taxes should be included in prices.
And this has to be a top-down, legal thing, rather than something companies can opt-in to, because I think the business consequences of being the only one in your industry with transparent pricing would generally be lethal, and I've heard stories of restaurants going out of business due to including taxes in their prices. People want to pay less, and they'll go to the place they think will charge less. So this has to be enforced top-down.
For example, when my browsers or mobile devices try to guess automatically when I want audio to start playing, they're almost always wrong.
Open a browser? Why is a video playing in one of my 30 tabs?
Unplug earbuds from my tablet? Why is an audiobook now playing? I didn't even have the audiobook app open, and haven't listened to any audiobook in months.
If your design relies on intelligently guessing what the user wants, but doesn't actually use any intelligence to do so, then your design is shit.
Give users the tools to do what they want quickly and easily. Don't guess.
But I can't find the original source or anything.
At higher levels of simulacra, the statements people make are less about reality, and more about what they want people to believe they believe about reality.
I wonder how minimal a giant web app written in C would be? Would it still compile in a fraction of a second?
