My experience of the suburbs is different from yours.
We wanted to move into S. Minneapolis but couldn't justify the high cost. Instead we ended up in the (far) suburbs.
You may have been downvoted because your response may have seemed a little snarky to some. While your suggestions make sense they are not necessarily practicable or economically feasible in all cases. People are pretty sensitive when it comes to the health their children and wants what's best even when they cannot provide it.
Yes. The enchantment would strongly affect Edmund. I am surprised the article author thinks this a trifle.
(My imagining was of some light chocolate treat... the kind that melts in your mouth and is almost impossible to overeat.)
An off grid, self reliant lifestyle is very attractive to me. This is my counter argument for myself.
Not trying to be nosy but did you make the move with children? (How did you help them adjust?)
You might not be paying much more than rent.
Additionally, this looks like a plastic film. Don't most plastics break down with exposure to the sun. I wonder what the service life would be.
Not trying to be negative. I would really love cheap solar panels.
Too many people take on unnecessary debt (big house, new cars, toys, ...) It seems like many are at peace with their debt.
Going into debt for anything more than a modest house (rather than paying rent) doesn't make sense to me.
