You couldn't be more wrong then. Just among the countries I've looked into: Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, and Spain all have a much easier immigration process. The US is notorious for their long nonsensical immigration process.
I haven't been rejected to any. I'm just monitoring changing requirements and sentiment in other countries, primarily Asia and parts of Europe. If you have suggestions for countries I'm open to them.
That depends on what you mean by accepting. Culturally or legally? Legally the immigration process to the US has always been one of the hardest and the bureaucracy around it is a nightmare.
Plaid was a security nightmare for years before they were basically forced at gunpoint to get it together and even then it just seems from the outside that they are better. I'm not sure I would trust any company by the founder.
Tokens per second. The difference between 8B and something like 16B is not as big as you might think in practical usage and 8B is a lot faster and interactive than 16B but there are certain things where it is useful to farm it out to the large model.
Distinction without a difference as it pertains to the conversation. Most of the money SpaceX received from the government was under the COTS program where NASA gave SpaceX money to develop a product and then NASA would become a customer of that product. It is as close as you can get to a technical subsidy without it being technically a subsidy.
It is subsidized by gov contracts. Everyone who has common sense immediately said the real money is Altman getting into the governments pants which is why he and Brockman lobby so hard. You take away those contracts and OpenAI is dead in the water.
This is funny but true. I don't think I've spoken to my neighbors in any place I've lived in 10 years other than maybe awkwardly running into each other in the hallway.
