I don’t have the time to search for the rest of the 70 titles in the iTunes Store, but from a few blind tests I did, I’d say the vast majority is available there.
Meanwhile, a three year old phone (iPhone 4) can run iOS 7 and run it well, albeit without fancy animations and parallax effect. I don’t know of any three year old Android phones that run Android 4.4.
I think that covers all the things that were listed in the video.
Personally, I can’t stand iTunes on Windows, but hey, clearly Microsoft knows what consumers want.
Rings true to me and, if indeed accurate, it seems like a good practice for HN.
Also, Circa started out as an iPhone app. The iPad and Android versions came later.
(Also, racism is rampant, culture and education spending continue to be cut, the housing market has been in a slump since 2009, and taxes are on the rise – but I digress.)
You’re giving the movement way too much credit if you believe the “socialist left” has any clout in the US. I also hope you don’t think the Obama administration is socialist or leftist, as in reality it doesn’t even pass for social-democrat.
In the US, the most circulated newspaper by far is the Wall Street Journal and the most watched news channel is FOX News. Both are owned by News Corporation (the Murdoch family) and they are far from socialist.
IMO, the question at hand is more like: ‘should we keep someone on life support when there is little to no chance that person will get better?’. And is taking someone off life support really the same as murder?
Amein, that is my view as well. I was born in the Netherlands but have lived in the US for 8 years and I still spend 3 months out of the year there. My opinion is that US voters don’t really have choices. It’s right or far right. There are some fringe parties (like various socialist and green parties) but there’s no chance they’ll gain any power. In both the democratic party and the GOP there are conservatives and progressives, but it seems to me that the conservatives always win out.
As a member of Left Turn and the League of Young Voters, I volunteer to register people to vote. I know it’s not enough, but I don’t know what else to do.
Make that the 5S’ home button/TouchID sensor. Plus the outermost element of the rear camera lens is rather sensibly sapphire, IIRC.
Fair enough.
That’s not to say Apple won’t ever update Safari for Windows, but I too won’t hold my breath. Apple’s software offerings for Windows haven’t been great for a long time (QuickTime and FileMaker used to be great on Windows, but that was back in the 90s). Recently, instead of offering a native version of iWork for Windows, Apple has opted to build it as a web app. That might be appreciated by Linux desktop users, but it isn’t a hopeful sign of Apple creating quality native apps for Windows.
I would love for Apple to build good versions of QuickTime X, iTunes, and Safari for Windows >7. As it stands now, the software Apple has for Windows feel outdated and are way too sluggish.

Meaning from June of 2007 to this day. 6 years is temporary for a browser as much as living on earth feels temporary for a human.
If that is so, how would you explain that Apple has gotten several injunctions (Australia, Germany, Netherlands) and won lawsuits against Samsung outside of the US? Even in South Korea a court ruled that Samsung had infringed on Apple’s patents. Also, let’s not forget, Apple is far from the only company suing Samsung over mobile patents.
Several parties have said Jobs donated to causes, but would often do so anonymously. Known is that he donated to the Democratic Party and to cancer research.
As for Gates: he is once again the richest person in the world. He could give away half of his wealth and he would still be in the top 6. Let’s not think too long about how he amassed his fortune, but I’ll give one example: under his leadership at Microsoft, he ’gave away’ tens of millions of Windows licenses to schools, so that kids would grow up being used to using Windows. It was presented as charity and Microsoft received tax benefits from doing so.
InCopy makes it easy to add styles that translate well to InDesign. The same is true for tables and lists. I’d say, watch the tutorials Adobe and Lynda.com[1] created.
InCopy has copyfitting features: you can see exactly how many lines fit on one page and how many lines you’ve got left. You can also preview the layout.

If you’re a Adobe CC subscriber, you already have access to it. If not, a InCopy CC license costs $240 a year.
