Close to where I live there are a couple of funny examples:
In one place the lights are red by default for everyone. Cars are detected from 100m or so away, so they barely need to slow down. Pedestrians need to press a button and usually wait for a while.
At another crossing the lights are green by default for the bigger road. A sideroad has car-detection that is ofter rather quick. Pedestrians and cyclists need to press a button and usually wait for a long time.
Just because you don't sit in a car it's ok to wait that much longer.
We were actually discussing this one day at the office - have there been any serious security breaches at Google? Are they really just that good?
Too bad nVidia graphics aren't supported on macOS - otherwise would have been the Macbook of many dreams.
E: looks like I had missed the latest Macbook update; the specs are not that different.
Google software seems to be chrome-optimized, but it's usually only slightly slower on Firefox - it still works.
It's really sad that Lenovo for some reason refuses to make laptops that actually match the macbooks; they are either huge or lack a proper GPU. And others just aren't of comparable build quality in the first place.
Excellent source of information.
If I was part of a university IT team and our site was linked to from the first webpage ever, I would at least make sure there was a redirect to a working page.
Same thing happens with Visual Studio Code, Brackets and Atom when compared to Sublime Text, for instance.
The software itself is quite powerful and feature-rich, but finding the right tools from the menus, hidden hotkeys etc is difficult or impossible.
