bg0··on Nintendo announces the Switch 2 [video]
Bought it for 70% cheaper on my phone
bg0··on Nintendo announces the Switch 2 [video]
Maybe that is the case. But when the switch came out the marketing was heavily skewed towards "party" games to play with your friends in the same room.
bg0··on Nintendo announces the Switch 2 [video]
Has anyone played any games besides Zelda / Mario Kart that actually felt complete and worth the money. I love love love the switch but getting really demoralized by the lack of titles I can play with friends; especially online.

The comments referencing quantified scientists do so in a somewhat negative light. But it should be noted that in his research, he points out that the oura is one of the top trackers for sleep[0]. This is not the only video that he praises the oura for being pretty damn good based on other devices.

bg0··on Show HN: I made a super simple iOS app to track expenses
That's what I use but their bank connections are so hit or miss and they always blame it plaid which is not the case.

I'll give YNAB a go

bg0··on Show HN: I made a super simple iOS app to track expenses
FWIW, I know this is a simple app and all but the biggest pain I've ever found in expense tracking is no one supports multi currencies. I have literally one option to track expenses in CAD and USD.

Opslock | https://opslock.com | Role: Engineering Team Lead | Remote - Canada preferred | Full Time

Opslock's mission is to enhance the efficiency of human achievement, disconnecting the amazing things people achieve when they work together, from human and environmental tragedy. We’re building a SaaS platform for industrial worksites where operations and safety management is powered by built-in AI to make sure everyone gets back home safely, by predicting hazards in the workplace before they become disasters.

bg0··on RIP Flynn.io
Do you or anyone you know still provide "ops as a service"? Would love to talk to someone who does this.
bg0··on Sick of spending time on Auth, we built an open source 'Stripe for Auth'
This speaks to me. I will patiently wait for SSO capability. With that being said, if anyone has built scalable SSO flows specifically Azure AD, and want to help us implement it - please get in touch.

bg0··on Private client-side-only PWAs are hard, but now Apple made them impossible
Yea, we actually don't use safari at all in our app. So this might not have an effect but it's pretty vague.

I really appreciate this link. I would have never seen this otherwise. It's kind of a disappointment for us on the enterprise side. Our main offering is an offline app where people are disconnected from the internet for weeks and we use localStorage to validate who they are. It's a bit vague about how this affects apps that don't use safari. Nevertheless, we might have to start to really think about the user experience here now that this update is out.
bg0··on Show HN: React Nice Dates
Totally agree, if this had time options we would use this in production in a heart beat. Trying to get off ant design but their date/time picker is pretty clean.

I will say, this is SUPER clean. Great work Hernán!

bg0··on Tell HN: I grew Visa List to $5k per month in a year
Password reset logic is the big difference. A lot easier just to use a third party token authentication service than to code all that logic. Wouldn't it be just as easy for you to create a new google account and use that to sign in?

I totally get it from your point of view, but whenever I make passion projects - if I don't have to build user management features in terms of passwords - it's a big load off my plate.

I honestly don't know how anyone uses gitlab with this nasty but that they've been ignoring for years. Had to move off of them and haven't looked back.
