Hello, I'm enthusiastic about all things technological! But mainly AI and gaming. I made my account recently, but I've been browsing for over a year. Also I still prefer emoticons over emojis :)
This makes so much sense, this is why I like Hacker News, you get smart people from different political views all having interesting and healthy discussions.
Yes, but using Tor actually can have negative effects, such as buying illegal things, like drugs, and other things that you would want to be anonymous while buying...
Heck, why not just save a ton of photos and videos on a local hard drive about how we live today, and film their reactions. I can imagine the episode name already "SHOWING MEDIEVAL ENGLAND CITIZENS YouTube VIDEOS!! (RIOT STARTED!!)"
I dont know why anyone would enable lockdown mode, it's completely useless to have enabled when you could avoud having it on by just not clicking on suspicious files. Besides unless your a high-ranking employee or CEO or something, nobody is going to actively try and hack your phone, lockdown mode is just completely useless...
Wikipedia has always had an app, Wikipedia is not going away, sure, it will recieve less traffic, but it has and always will be a staple of the Internet. If Wikipedia ever went down, millions of pages of human knowledge would disappear. It's not going away anytime soon.
There could also be a downside to this, lets use Super Mario as an example, what happens when the entire market gets flooded with unofficial Mario games, scammers would no longer have to worry about copyright and can make absolute shovelware to trick old people hoping to buy a Christmas present for their grandchildren etc. Nintendo as a company would be completely helpless against all of this and sure, there could may well be some great games made by people who care, but the cons would outweigh the pros.
Best comment on this whole post! Thats a really interesting observation. Personally I think they look cool but I can understand how some people dislike them.
It's really interesting how AI interprets code differently to humans and I can only assume that as AI gets better, so will it's ability to write code in ways humans can understand.
