curvx··on X (Twitter) Is Introducing ID Verification to Counter AI Bots and Impersonation
If this becomes mandatory with no tier in-between, I will definitely quit X. Here are my reasons:

- After the takeover by Elon, X has been pretty much clear on where and what it stands for. Elon, on one hand says it a "digital town square" and on the other has repeatedly said will follow the "rule of the land", which by their very nature contradicts each other.

- Data breach is inevitable, where does it leave you.

I do believe some sort of check needs to be placed, but THIS IS NOT THE WAY! Lives are at stake whether one opts in or one doesn't.

curvx··on Ask HN: Need feedback on my landing page as a first timer
1. There is so much space in the bottom. Why its scrollable despite not having that much content?

2. After submitting the form, the network tab shows I made whopping 87 requests!

3. You could give some love to the social icons too. I would probably add hover effect similar to what you have in "Join Waitlist" button but shows respective color.

4. No padding around your content for mobile viewport.

Otherwise looks good. Can't wait to try this out :D

Tried just now, same error.

I don't understand one thing, how come despite getting 405, I am getting success "Thank you, please check your email!" message? Are you not checking the status (error) code before showing the message?

curvx··on LK-99 isn’t a superconductor
Oof!

> LK-99 is not a superconductor, but an insulator with a resistance in the millions of ohms — too high to run a standard conductivity test.

curvx··on Ask HN: Any other programmer lost their mind?
Well, here is my take on this.

I feel there is a LOT happening in the SW field and it's hard to keep up with all these things.

Every other tool is now AI/ML powered and there is always a better library/framework every alternate week.

Honestly, it takes a toll and made me wonder, what the hell am I doing? Do I have to keep up with all these till I am on this field?

I am now trying to find something tangible to keep me motivated apart from the money.

Farming is something that I found a little therapeutic. It's slow, rigorous but bears fruits.
