It's enough that I knew the two teams playing in the Series, that both teams have never won, and that the progress was looking really good for the Brewers all while not being the type that follows baseball at all.
What never happened that you didn't hear about World Series winners or that you didn't hear about the Brewers winning. There's a reason for the later, and as far as the former, well, it's two teams that aren't known for their post season appearances.
I heard people were buying property before this year's Wold Cup that were near the stadiums so they could rent them out and then sell them after. Now, sellers are having to lower the asking prices, and that's just a few months after the tourney. Honestly, I hope those asshats are taking it at a loss
If you're doing anything in the freedom fighter vein of activity, why would you be connecting directly to anything from your IP? Why are you not bouncing around through VPNs, TOR exit nodes, and the like? I know not everyone is a skilled freedom fighter, and even skilled freedom fighters make mistakes, but isn't this like step one to not connect directly from your IP?
To that point, she was on the Committee for Intelligence, so of course she was going to lean the direction of giving Intelligence Community what they wanted. I'd expect someone on Government Oversight to be the one to try to reign it back in, but doubtful any in modern times have the moral fortitude to push back especially under Comer's leadership.
> it becomes noisy and sameish at larger scale or the more you read it.
I absolutely understand where you are coming from, and I agree to a point. If you're of an age where you actually read a printed encyclopedia, the tone and voice of the entire set was sameish as well. The difference is that it didn't sound LLMish like LLM text does. I know that printed encyclopedias would have been vetted by editors, and I feel this is the key difference. Editors not only knew grammar rules, but had that sense of good writing practices that's hard to write down as rules. A piece of text passed through a good editorial review will read human while LLM text reads as LLM text.
As photographer, I find it hard to work with your model. It's like it has no training and just sits there waiting to be told what to do. I spend more time explaining what I want the model to do than actually working with the model. Maybe I should shell out for a professional model instead of working the the open models hoping to be a professional one day.
The best chance of having a Justice Canon would have been prior to now. If the control of the Senate flips, I hope that any position on SCOTUS that might open up would be denied based on POTUS being a lame duck following the precedent set by Mitch.
With all of the DRM nonsense around printers and authorized print cartridges, I'm kind of shocked the cartridge doesn't also have something that prevents printing if not in an authorized printer.
Not being part of a printer have anything to do with why the print looks bad? Like the thing he created to get the print head to spray ink isn't the same drivers and that's just a PoC to make the project possible? If this is just an extension cable from an actual printer, the quality looks janky to what I'd expect from modern ink jets.
Regardless, it is outdated when very few owned film cameras. If you had a chance to buy a set of Cooke lenses for a steal even though you didn't own a camera, you absolutely would if you were able. You could then rent a Red, Arri, or even film cameras as needed. You're forcing this into a modern digital only situation where camera bodies are dirt cheap maybe from being younger so that's your familiarity??
how is that different? They both mean that you won't be keeping the camera while holding onto the lenses. Also, at the time of the saying, it was for professional film shoots and not your take on vacay. Yes, it's an old saying, but rang true for a long time. Similar to Moore's law. Neither are as relevant while still being a bit truthy.
There's a saying "buy the glass, rent the camera" as camera bodies change much more frequently than lenses. There's more camera mounts now than when I first heard the saying though.
It was a hypothetical posed to the DoJ from a judge. The lawyer answered in the affirmative that they believe selling the documents with confidential information could be sold on eBay.
"with Judge Patricia Millett asking: “Can the president then offer on eBay to sell them, all of our national security secrets, to the highest bidder?”
Being an EO, any following POTUS can rescind an EO of a previous POTUS. If you want a law to remain in effect across administrations, you have to get Congress to pass a law. Trump spent a lot of time in his administrations writing EOs that reverse Obama and Biden's EOs. If Trump ever came close to being in violation of this order, he would quickly rescind it. I put no weight in this being used against Trump
> Spamming is already illegal but so commonplace that it's pretty laughably enforced at this point
I see comments similar to this about tech issues, and it always reads as if the person is assuming that these illegal tech activities are being done under the jurisdiction of the laws making it illegal. All you need is one jurisdiction that is not under the influence of the country with laws, and you make it impossible to stop these "illegal" activities
I wasn't aware of this supposedly. I had assumed that the EO signed covered it in a single signature. Not sure which is worse here, my assumption or your supposedly.
In all of the articles around Judge Canon's actions regarding this case, I do not recall quash being mentioned. That's why I was asking if that's really what was done. I was not asking about the definition of the word.
I think it's a combo of both really. McConnel denying Obama's rightful SCOTUS nomination was not capitulating, but Johnson's rolling over for this administration is. Clearly, the situation we find ourselves is not the result of a single action. I think the speed run really started back with Speaker Gingrich.
I come from the world of live action VR and not 3D generated, so my mind instantly went to what it would take to make a VR live action experience of finding the actual birds in an actual location possible. The image collection required to allow for a zoomed in through binocs view enough detail would be something "fun" to assemble. Everything was designed around wide angle lenses a la GoPros because of form factor which means zooming would be atrocious. Designing something with long lenses would result in a camera rig that would be insanely impractical. Now, using a set of sensors like the Rubin Observatory might might make this feasible. Hmmm...
If you find that sign up form, would you kindly post it here. I'd be interested too, but my googl-fu isn't very good apparently. The way the current administration is berating science funding, you'd think this would be something that is actually happening.
