egze··on We Have to Start Over: From Atom to Zed
I actually prefer Mac only apps. It usually means the experience is way more polished.

egze··on An animated introduction to Elixir
Just to make it clear: you don't have to write stateful apps, just because you can. It's still possible to have the more traditional stateless model like Rails.

If you do write a stateful app, and run it in k8s, you can have state handover to a newly created pod. It works pretty well.

egze··on Roskomsvoboda statement on foreign companies’ sanctions against Russians [pdf]
Quite a lot of condemning, demanding and calling for actions from the western society. Yet, not once was the word "war" mentioned. Not once were the actions of the Russian government and Putin condemned.

How about you - Roskomsvoboda focus your energy on stopping the war, so Ukrainians can also enjoy the benefits of new technologies?

Using it and it works quite well. No issues so far.

Just want to say - thanks Chris! LiveView is the most innovative web technology I've seen in the last 5-10 years, and it is an absolute joy to use.
egze··on Kaspersky Password Manager: All your passwords are belong to us
Also there are always FSB agents sitting in Kaspersky office. Let that sink in.
egze··on Building a Distributed Turn-Based Game System in Elixir
You could use CRDT for more complex games which are not turn based.

egze··on Show HN: Tired of mobile games with IAP and ads, I made No-Bullshit Games
Maybe not that advanced for your needs, but I made this drawing app for my son when he was little.

egze··on Ask HN: Do you contribute to open source? Why? Why not?
For me all of that counts. Even a bug report is a contribution.
egze··on Show HN: Manage Dotfiles with Stow
I use https://github.com/lra/mackup and love it. Takes care also about application configs.
egze··on Using Firefox for a faster, calmer and distraction-free internet
I have 1Blocker for ads and Enpass for passwords. That’s all I need. The developer console is very good, I rarely need anything else.
egze··on Using Firefox for a faster, calmer and distraction-free internet
I recently ditched both Chrome and Firefox. Now super happy with Safari.

TextMate is such a wonderful editor. I tried them all, but always go back to TM. Also the fact that you can use ruby to write plugins is just awesome.

egze··on The Psychological Trap of Freelancing
I almost always feel irritated when booking a vacation for this reason. So many days of lost income! But the funny thing at the same time is - I really need vacations and always feel better after them. Also the same thing if I need to do something during office hours (like a doctor appointment).
egze··on Show HN: Quickly browse the history of any GitHub file
This is nice. Can it be done with a browser extension only, without a web service? (to make it work for private repos)
egze··on Ask HN: How are you getting through (and back from) burning out?
Please do

egze··on Ask HN: Best Command-Line Applications?
Wow. mycli and pgcli are so good!
egze··on [dead]
You probably meant it in a good way, but it is much better to say "Who knows a good alternative to iTunes?" or "How would you design a perfect music player?".

You wouldn't want to see a post "Who else hates dzohrob's music player?" would you?

egze··on Candy Japan 2017 Year in Review
Maybe blog posts with candy reviews might bring in some traffic?
egze··on Bitcoin hits $17K as bubble fears mount
Same story every time. At 1$ it was a bubble, at 30$ it was a bubble, at 100$, at 1000$, etc. I wonder what needs to happen for the "bubble" people to say - alright, this is not a bubble anymore, I was wrong. Or it will always be a bubble for them?
