"Fix Claude's bug manually. Claude had a bug in the previous commit. I prompted it multiple times to fix the bug but it kept doing the wrong thing.
So this change is manually written by a human.
I also extended the README to discuss the OAuth 2.1 spec problem."

This is super relatable to my experience trying to use these AI tools. They can get halfway there and then struggle immensely.
Out of curiosity, are there ever plans to expand this beyond high school?
I think that Google truly took a "Google Plus" look and morphed that into a website for teachers. I love how it has a clean and easy to use UI. The assignments are on a side bar, announcements are clearly displayed in a "stream". You can easily post a message to your class, and you have access to everyone's email (making it easy to communicate).
Teachers in my school have used three platforms. Moodle, Google Classroom, and Edmodo. Quite frankly, I have come to like Edmodo much more. They're identical to Facebook, but the layout is so much better than the alternatives (in my preference). Edmodo has truly thought everything out.
The city has had its ups and downs, but things are on the rise. Take it from someone who has lived near the city for 17 years. I think there are a lot of assumptions about Detroit, but there are a few things that are true: We have a 14.5% unemployment rate, a post industrial culture (culture of employees expecting to work for the Big Three immediately, instead of a culture of entrepreneurs), a financial problem, and poor Detroit schools (however the schools in suburbs are much better).
I think that the combination of a lot of opportunity, and recent support from people like Dan Gilbert gave Detroit a huge start with the Madison Block, and that is the reason that people look at Detroit and what is happening in the city now.
Personally not a fan of the UI currently. However there could be a lot done with the itself- such as providing safer routes by utilizing the data.
Just gave the HN guidelines a thorough (and much needed) read.
On average, I expected the number of "Show HN" submissions to increase dramatically, but it does not seem to be that way.
Possible reasons:
1. The "Show" section on the header bar adds too much- people want a simplistic view and the show section hasn't caught on as much as the "ask".
2. People are wary of submitting "Show HN" posts and sharing their work due to criticism
3. The guidelines set are restrictive
Personally, I think it will just take time to catch on. It would definitely be interesting to see these statistics with "Ask HN" for comparison.
I also learn a lot from going on Facebook- as any news normally makes its way on the site.

It's another really good list of courses :)
See: http://techcrunch.com/2014/01/10/dropbox-offline-hacker-grou...
and also see dropbox's blog post, explicitly stating that it "was caused during routine internal maintenance, and was not caused by external factors"
Personally, I like the idea and i'm going to use it. However, it relies on people downloading the extension. If there are enough people using it (which is definitely possible) then it would be successful.
Yahoo Answers is pretty interesting and it works on a point based system. Basically, the more questions you answer, the more points you gain. You also get points for "voting" on the best answer to each question (not as many as answering though). If the most people vote for your answer as "best answer" then you get 10 points.
That may have been a confusing explanation, but I definitely like the system (which keeps users engaged). And Hacker News does this as well with its karma system, although it works in a different way. Some of my friends are hooked on to this one chatting website (www.zobe.com), and it has a karma system as well. Basically, all the sites i've seen that have a point based/karma system are quite "vicious" as you put it (they have very consistent users).
I also forgot to mention- I also began recently using Quora, and i've liked it so far! Reminds me of Yahoo Answers but it definitely seems newer and fancier.
I'm interested in hearing more about the project you're working on! Please elaborate on what you're trying to do :)
This is irrelevant to your website, but I noticed that you're from TJHS. Did you go to MHacks? I saw a few kids from that high school over there. I also noticed that you're involved with Pilot. I really want to get a hackathon started up here in Detroit, so we should connect.
Still, I have to side with Shubham. They should at least reward him now.
