Is Trump right about it being a shit hole? I figured he was just being a jackass I didn't realize Mexico was in a state where it's citizens need to flee.
might struggle to get into narrow spaces that a human could fit. wheels and legs do seem like a good idea though and a robot on rollar skates does sound awesome.
you might have a better chance of surviving that 30 foot launch than a head on collision with a pole or a semi truck. don't get me wrong it seems wildly impractical but there may be rare situations where it's useful. ejection seats on fighters frequently injured their pilot but that is better than being dead.
So their country of origin has to become as safe as the United States? That sounds like we would have to keep most people practically indefinitely. If the goal is preventing unnecessary suffering why stop at those who are already here? there are 10s of millions maybe even hundreds of millions of people suffering. Shouldn't we bring them all to the US to reduce their suffering? The people currently in Haiti are in unsafe conditions why don't we bring them over that would reduce suffering.
What is the present condition in the country that prevents them from returning? What condition would be acceptable in your mind to make returning them ok?
The protection was given due to an earthquake it's been 16 years that crisis is over there is nothing racist about sending people home after the crisis we sheltered them for is over.
They were given protection status do to an earthquake it's been 16 years it seems rational to return them home. What would be a fair reason to end this temporary status to you?
After 16 years why wouldn't they be able to return home? The protection was given due to an earthquake how long are we supposed to allow temporary protections to last?
there has been a huge demographic shift in Texas it's not really debatable if the demographics are changing. non Hispanic whites were around 65 to 70 percent 50 years ago to about 37% now. Hispanic went from around 12% to around 40%
what's the problem with ending a temporary protection status? it's supposed to be temporary it's in the name, unless I'm mistaken that program started 16 years ago that seems way past temporary.
sup com is legitimately incredible I can't believe 20 years later and nothing has managed to match it yet. planetary annihilation was cool and did some interesting things but never felt as good. sanctuary shattered sun looks like it might be pretty good but it's still early and progress has been slow hopefully that can deliver.
What regulations would help with this? companies that actually host the models themselves can be regulated but open models can e abliterated or otherwise modified to stop them from refusing tasks. I'd be very wary of any regulations that prevent people from hosting or making their own models and weights.
something that could help reduce repetitive strain would be beneficial. allowing people to work without damaging their bodies as much would be more beneficial than letting someone carry more weight.
since when have we been defunding education? over the past 60 years the per pupil spending on education has increased pretty substantially. you can argue that the funds aren't well allocated but it's objectively false that we've been reducing funding for education over multiple decades.
Are you saying that war disease or famine wouldn't exist without a few rich people? that seems incredibly ignorant since all of those things have afflicted humanity since before we could even be called humans.
it's funny when reading the book I thought that character was ridiculous, one man being that good in so many different fields come on! wild to realize that people like that really can exist.
there is a lot of nuance in laws so much so that people spend their entire lives studying and learning how to work with the law. it's unrealistic for every person in a democracy to be able to study understand and vote accordingly on every law proposed. people absolutely should put in more effort towards their civic duty but there are other aspects of society that require significant effort as well.
I believe there is a type of anticheat to help detect ai usage, there are probably ways to circumvent it but id imagine most of the top players are legit.
other conflicts that to don't have any significant effect get plenty of attention like Ukraine or Palestine. the Russian Ukrainian conflict does have some effect on Europe but Israel Palestine has no tangible effect on the West and people talk about it frequently.
When did they murder an entire country? Last time I checked people still live in Palestine, in fact the population been steadily increasing over the past 40 or so years. Is your solution that the people of Israel should just die instead of fighting back?
Are you implying that there aren't a massive number of foreigners moving to Europe? roughly 10% of the people living in the EU were born outside of it.
Hamas has launched 10s of thousands of rockets and mortars at Israel what is an appropriate response for them? Should they just sit there letting someone try to kill them or should they retaliate? How many casualties is an acceptable amount?
you know that's not a bad idea there are a lot of people who are very confident on both sides of the argument. I wonder how many would actually be willing to put their money where their mouth is.
if they pay for the land and pay taxes why exactly shouldn't they be able to build what they want on that land? besides that what do you mean by "compensate" affected people? does a sewage treatment plant need to compensate nearby homes?
