> Yet it would have been a PR disaster if NATO admitted to supplying weapons to Ukraine before the invasion started. So MANPADs are implied to have sprouted like mushrooms in Ukraine..
You can’t be serious, NATO openly delivered MANPADs and vast amounts of other munitions before the war started https://www.armyrecognition.com/defense_news_february_2022_g...

Maybe try to learn some basic facts about the subject before commenting?
Article 5 has only been invoked once, and did not involve any actual conflict.
This is why many websites just block European IP addresses entirely.
You might think you’re safe in the US, but perhaps you use a payment processor with significant European presence? Stripe or Paypal, for example. European authorities can take your money.
Is it so shallow you can’t just make a hole in the ice?
His argument essentially boils down to that some corruption exists in Northern Europe, therefore Southern Europe can’t be more corrupt.
Let’s imagine you compromise a telco and get past the hurdle of these tractors not having public IPs, they probably still won’t have any services listening on the network.
If they do have some services listening on the network, that’s probably going to be John Deere’s own software and not e.g. an ancient version of Exim.
Without more information this is just silly clickbait.
In Europe we don’t have titles for cars like in the US. You don’t have to perform a weird ritual of signing over the title to sell a car, you don’t need a written contract at all.
For land it makes sense, but cars? why?
What exactly did you expect the punishments to be like? A fine?
>It's about risk of absconding
And putting up a bigger deposit obviously helps address that risk.
>Secondly, no, cash bail is not a thing in the UK
It is. In the UK it’s called a bail security. It’s not common, but absolutely a thing.
See on lexisnexis https://www.lexisnexis.co.uk/legal/guidance/securities-suret...
>Someone being arrested in the UK for extradition is not part of the UK justice system
Absolutely is, and the rules regarding bail are the same.
>Unsurprisingly, foreign nationals can't have their passport taken away by a foreign country, who'd have thought?!?!?
What? Of course they can. It’s not at all unusual for people bailed for crimes in the UK to be required to surrender their foreign passports.
These are probably support staffers working from personal computers at home using some sort of remote desktop software, hard to enforce any security policies.
The real problem is that people simply don’t care. People are much more willing to go to the polls over their right to own guns than issues like this.
I’ve had to hand over money to get a friend out after he was arrested due to an extradition request.
> If you've done something very bad, or are a big flight risk you will not be granted bail, but again, not a money issue
It absolutely is a money issue. The bigger surety you can put up, the less those things matter.
