Not exactly where my mind went when I saw Baltimore.

You can get them that cheap, you just need a time machine. I built a few that were about that price including a free 128GB SSD in late 2024. The FSP500 PSU from one particular ebay seller was cheaper then too ($5-10).

Been really fun watching this go from e-waste to having mesa support and CU/CPU unlocks.

Or the S3 Savage3D, which, while being inferior to the TNT2, pioneered texture compression.

B2s have made the trip from Whiteman AFB to perform flyovers at the past 20 or so Rose Bowls fwiw

VMM7100 based devices like the Cable Matters 102101 work. Also allegedly CH7218 based adapters. https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/amd/-/issues/4773

Intel did this with the ARC A750/770

The end of ESG investing and, yes, preference falsification and preference cascade. They never believed in it, it was just socially unacceptable to admit it until the pendulum swung back in the other direction.

I thought most of these comments have actionable if not tough to hear advice.

Perhaps offering an opportunity for more humility and introspection. Instead you’re here doubling down on the victim mindset.

Wishing you the best.

I also had a BP6 with two Celeron 400As. Stuck on Win98 for a while until Win2k graphics drivers got good enough for gaming.

> I doubt Vavle would help Lenovo with support on a device they'd shortly eclipse with better specs.

Why wouldn’t they? It more or less locks the user into the Steam store where Valve gets a cut of every sale. That’s their primary income stream.

Inertia, layman brand perception, anticompetitive behavior (Intel has been in court for 15+ years about this).

An example in the laptop space, Intel invested a lot in the marketing and designs of the Ultrabook classification. So customers ask for an Ultrabook from Dell, Lenovo, HP, etc. and those are only available with Intel CPUs. It’s taken several years for AMD mobile CPUs to work their way into high end designs.

If you know a student’s residential zip code, high school, and name you can make a very educated guess without ever asking race.

The rules changed but the ideology hasn’t.

Or a syringe with a needle tip. Thats how a lot of the liquid metal TIMs are sold. Works great for picking up excess.

I could have been more clear but you misread. Olives are fruit, too.

An unpitted olive in a jar of pitted olives.

An unpitted cherry in a jar of pitted cherries.

This is a lot more akin to finding a piece of a cherry/olive pit in a jar of pitted fruit. A reasonable attempt was made with natural products in play.

Great TV. Iirc the last Triniton tube produced. After moving it 3 times over 15 years I sold mine to a guy during covid for $20 so he could play Time Crisis.

Look up the 8311 discord.

Yeah, I meant for newer customers. The ONT is built into the BGW320 with no separate ONT box. You still need the certs from a BGW-210 etc. in that scenario.

Even if you don't have a separate ONT you can bypass the BGW320 completely with an SFP GPON-ONT-on-a-stick into SFP+ interface or a 2.5g media converter if you are in a GPON area. If you are XGSPON the common option is to buy a WAG-D20. Either way you still need certs for 802.1x.

That’s pretty wild. Seems like it creates perverse incentive to commit physical hate crimes. If the consequences between advocacy and action are sufficiently proximal, it becomes optimal choose the course with the most “benefit” to the actor.

Probably just hamfisted calculation. Backlash/embarrassment due to forced diversity and excluding white people from generated imagery < backlash from lack of diversity and (non-white) cultural insensitivity.

There was also a 4:1 split in there. So, $68 -> $2888.

Is that during direct play or transcoding? Are you running a reverse proxy in front of it?

I'd check those things first.

It's such an uncomfortable topic that this right wing news article doesn't even hint at that as a possibility. Canada's Most Wanted list seems to support your theory, though.

Felt pretty normal, really. I reduced my activity level in that time, though. Deloaded lifting and no cardio just walking.

Spiking and recovering is probably better than consistently elevated for insulin sensitivity reasons.

That's why the potato is superior. Eating 500 calories of hyperpalatable junk will leave you ravenous and wanting more (ever seen someone eat an entire large bag of chips?). With plain potatoes you reach satiety much quicker and you don't WANT to keep eating more.

Even ad libitum, the low palatibility and high satiety of potatoes makes you reach a point where you simply do not want to eat any more. For most people that yields a significant caloric deficit.

I did this experiment and it was boring more than anything. Plenty full/satisfied/not hungry, though.

From a sheer volume perspective you're probably correct, but if you venture out into the less densely populated areas of the country (with more sparse/nonexistent infrastructure) you're more likely to see a truck on a given vehicle encounter. These are the places where electric is a non-starter.
