And even those that do follow the show through non-legal channels probably haven't downloaded the episode yet, since it has aired in the middle of the night for us.
I doubt I would use an app just for that though...

But on the other hand I also understand that these services have to be very careful so they don't get abused themselves.
I'm a Magento developer. Worked on all kinds of projects, from big multichannel shops to small local outlets.

I run a small web consulting agency that specializes in e-commerce. We mostly work with Magento and from time to time are just too swamped so we are looking for a skilled freelancer that knows the platform and would be willing to take some work of our hands. We are looking for a long-term partnership with varying workload. The tasks are strictly development related, no design skill necessary. The only requirements are long-term availability, understanding of GIT and clear communication.
Please email magento-dev@mobweb.ch and also include your Skype ID so we can chat directly. Also reference HN somehow so I can see that your email isn't recruiter spam. :)
I run a small web consulting agency. From time to time we are looking for some talented designers to offload some of our mockup/sketching/design work.
A typical job would involve the following: We create a detailed sitemap with all the contents and the website's structures. We put together a specification of designs/websites and design elements that the customer likes. We would then send all of that to you along with our budget, and you would create an awesome design out of that, investing as much time as possible based on the pre-defined budget. That's where we pick up again, finalize the design with the client and create the website.
If you feel that you could help us and are confortable with that project based/fixed rate workflow, please email freelance-designer@mobweb.ch along with:
- Some of your recent design work - Your average hourly rate
Looking forward to hearing from you!

I think this goes pretty much for everything that you do using Google, not just programming. I do some on-site user support on the side, fixing end user PC problems. Most people watching me over my shoulders are usually shocked to see that I have to Google the solutions for most problems.
Once the shock wears off, they are actually fascinated by how I seem to be able to instantly filter between relevant and non-relevant content and search results. Some even tell me that they've Googled for hours for a problem that people who have this "filter" ability can probably find a solution for in under a minute...
I understand that, but I fail to see how it's especially offensive women? I consider it primarily against good taste. ;)
I think the chance of successfully obtaining DB credentials using this method is fairly high even without those "backup files" mentioned in the link.
I'd assume there are many people out there who can set up a simple CMS themself but ignore/don't understand how to properly remove the various "installer" and "configurator" scripts once they're done...
- The "website" field requires the http:// part of the address - After typing three letters into the "message" fieldarea, an error pops up and tells me the message needs to be at least 20 characters long, while I'm still typing away
I realize this could be tweaked by the user but the demo shouldn't have such logical flaws for a script that's described as "Super #UX focused". ;)
BUT it seems that this doesn't always work. I just tested with a newly created file and for some reason there was no warning, it just reloaded the file.
