normalaccess··on CorridorKey 2.0
I think that's a big chunk that people are missing. This tool ac get you from zero to 80%-90% for most shots in a handful of seconds.
normalaccess··on CorridorKey 2.0
Depends on the shot. Worlds better than version one of CorridorKey and they are using it internally on their own shows/content.

These tools can only get better and better as time goes on.

normalaccess··on What happened to the Snowden archive
It feels like there is "backpressure" that has been backed into our current world that makes people like Snowden and Assange an impossibility. The collective control of politics, media, and corporations have built a society that is inoculated to truth and no longer have a response to evil.

Even when the truth is told to us directly to our faces, no one seems to care.

normalaccess··on Can I Let My AI Agent Run on Shabbat?
We live in REALLY inserting times. For some people that is the whole point of AI.

normalaccess··on Saving money on Google Photos with Immich: Your own personal photo storage
Fantastic project. I have been using it for about a year and have had no problems yet. Building another box to deploy for family.

I think I'll ask Codex to make an open source version
normalaccess··on The brain may be about to have its Ozempic moment
Sounds like the plot to a horror movie.
normalaccess··on Illinois just passed a law that puts Linux on the hook for age verification
My Opinion on that: It would be branded as unsafe and something only terrorists and extremists use. Aside from the propaganda campaigns that would run 24/7 to influence public opinion it would (and will) be outlawed to run an unmonitored personal compute system. I'll bet they will use the fact that open models can generate c-sam materials.
normalaccess··on How Claude marks AI-generated content
I think that's the end goal.
normalaccess··on How Claude marks AI-generated content
This is a meme video but I think it hits the nail on the head.

TLDR: AI will force global online digital ID for everyone that uses the internet for the exact reason you mentioned. And that would forever change free speech forever allowing the powers that be to put the genie "back in the bottle" so to speak.

normalaccess··on How Claude marks AI-generated content
Would this impact distillation? Reminds me of the fake roads map makers would add to their maps to detect copying.
normalaccess··on Illinois just passed a law that puts Linux on the hook for age verification
Thankfully for now this dragon is a hydra. Too many paths to block for now. The whole TPM fiasco with windows is preparation to put the genie back in the bottle. Soon, much sooner than I would like you will need a Global ID to access the internet, which will require an "internet safe operating system". It's only a matter of time. Get your sneakers ready folks.
normalaccess··on Study links GLP-1 drugs to bigger jump in women's employment than a degree
I'm close to B. In the 80's they tested how appearance affects people. Some women were given a facial scar and went to interviews while others were left as is. The scar group reported higher levels of discrimination than those without the scar. Tricky thing was none of them had scars in the interviews. The women that thought they had the fake scars had a "touch up" and the testers removed it.

normalaccess··on Flock-Powered Police Chiefs Stalking Women Shows Why Warrants Are Needed
Nobody is installing surveillance cameras in you bathroom yet.
normalaccess··on What we call "age verification" is actually mass surveillance
I don't think age verification is the actual goal... I believe complete surveillance and information control is the goal. Age verification is just the justification they are using to coat the poison pill in sugar.
normalaccess··on Flock-Powered Police Chiefs Stalking Women Shows Why Warrants Are Needed
"If you give me six lines written by the hand of the most honest of men, I will find something in them which will hang him." -- Cardinal Richelieu

Privacy protects personal dignity, not just illicit behavior. We close bathroom doors, keep journals, and have intimate conversations not because we are breaking the law, but because we value personal modesty and boundaries.

We are quickly approaching a time when we are all guilty until proven innocent by voyeuristic power-hungry psychopathic megalomaniacs who cry the old cry of "If you've got nothing to hide, you've got nothing to fear"

And this is how freedom dies, not by the letter of the law, but by the spirit.
normalaccess··on Never talk to the police
That is a very good point depending on the situation. On the flip side, abstaining from the process and remaining silent (but still compliant) can put a spotlight on injustice if there be any.
normalaccess··on Apple's weird anti-nausea dots cured my car sickness
I have this on 24/7. I like them even when I'm not driving.
normalaccess··on Never talk to the police
yes, there is a fine line between "Don't Talk" and standing up for your rights. I feel like it's advisable to speak up when your rights are being violated. I can't quite put the words on what I mean but I think stating a fact like "This is my kid" is A-ok.
normalaccess··on Never talk to the police
Sometimes it's smart to be silent.

You spelled world wrong. China has their social credit, EU has their cameras, America has Palantir, Starlink has internet everywhere, 5G can be used as radar, age verification is being deployed globally, ect... Babylon reborn.

Edit: UK not EU
