owebmaster··on When the Term "Heatwave" Is No Longer Enough
Do you think another word, stronger this time, will motivate "people" to do more? (Not the companies, which should be compelled by governments).
owebmaster··on The rise and fall of Jev hype
The crime of hyping your own solution against trillion dollar companies
owebmaster··on The Rise and Fall of Jev
My LinkedIn was full of jev specialists until a few days ago
owebmaster··on The rise and fall of Jev hype
Yeah no, it's too early to make any of these calls so the title is clickbait, the article thesis is false.
owebmaster··on The rise and fall of Jev hype
What a low quality hit piece.
owebmaster··on The compiler was supposed to end programming too
> Which company do you work for that the product managers are opining on the software architecture, data structures, algorithms, and variable names

We are talking about the separation of these roles going away. If you disagree or can't see that happening, that's fine. Nobody gonna waste their time convincing you.

owebmaster··on The compiler was supposed to end programming too
You, the product manager. Or product engineer if you prefer.
owebmaster··on AfD Leak: What 421,179 Hacked Emails Show about the German Far Right
Sure but the discussion, is it about what topic? If that is about not wanting some kind of people in a country it's probably hateful fascism, yes.
owebmaster··on The compiler was supposed to end programming too
Stop spamming this low quality slop everywhere
owebmaster··on The compiler was supposed to end programming too
That's called product management
owebmaster··on AfD Leak: What 421,179 Hacked Emails Show about the German Far Right
I think you are free to express yourself in every western country. What kind of pride of your culture and country you are not allowed to express?
owebmaster··on Using Claude to reduce the attack surface of code
Your claim that the "react core" is small isn't correct. React+ReactDOM is >130kb, the minimum needed to run a react component. To create TUIs, Ink ships even more.
owebmaster··on Using Claude to reduce the attack surface of code
Actually why stop at that. The minified build apparently has just one line!
owebmaster··on Using Claude to reduce the attack surface of code
The irony of a company using Nextjs for a chat app and React for a terminal UI talking about reducing attack surface.
owebmaster··on Ukraine claims first drone evacuation of wounded soldier
That's already what's expected from his participation in the Epstein parties. It changed literally nothing.
owebmaster··on AfD Leak: What 421,179 Hacked Emails Show about the German Far Right
You just can't stop the change. Much less decide how it will change. Hating different people and blaming them for your unhappiness won't solve the issue.

Think about it: 20 years ago you weren't a hateful person, that also changed. Why not get back to an older version of yourself? I'm sure at the time you thought things were amazing, there was already a bunch of frustrated middle aged men hating what you now love and miss.

owebmaster··on AfD Leak: What 421,179 Hacked Emails Show about the German Far Right
Every place changes drastically. My country does not have an immigrant influx but is a completely different country from 20 years ago. Every person has what need as an excuse to become "conservative".

The changes are a constant everywhere. Using that as an excuse to hate is political manipulation.

owebmaster··on AfD Leak: What 421,179 Hacked Emails Show about the German Far Right
What kind of ethnic erasure? What words do you use to describe what's happening in Gaza ?
owebmaster··on Lula supporters protest against Meta to denounce its 'electoral interference'
> USA big tech is just as bad as Russias or China's

It's much, much worse

owebmaster··on Lula supporters protest against Meta to denounce its 'electoral interference'
> There is really no "global right wing alliance"

The alliance is so strong that people are coming even to HN to spread disinformation.

owebmaster··on The obscure trust looming over Anthropic's IPO
Yes it is, not a 1:1 replace tho you need to understand how it works
owebmaster··on Ukraine claims first drone evacuation of wounded soldier
Do you really think there's anything Trump is afraid of any secret that could be worse than what we already no? There's not. The idea that he's manipulated by Russia is just stupid.
owebmaster··on DeepSeek banned from U.S. federal civilian agencies under new DHS order
Still better than a Windows SaaS edition
owebmaster··on Lula supporters protest against Meta to denounce its 'electoral interference'
> Is it overly conspiratorial to think the Meta is doing what they're accused of on behalf of the US?

Not at all. We all know it. There's just literally nothing we can do. The whole world is an US dictatorship

owebmaster··on The obscure trust looming over Anthropic's IPO
Yeah advise them to just try the new DeepSeek. It is as good as opus 5.5, better if you enjoy the speed
owebmaster··on How Quickly Can the DoD Rebuild and Recast the Munitions Industrial Base?
It gets even better: the US sell and profit a lot from expensive interceptors
owebmaster··on Ask HN: How can we stop UX people from changing UIs to get promotions?
The person responsible for UI/UX changes is the product manager, the designer does what he's told to do. So maybe fire the PM?
owebmaster··on Gen Z Is the First Generation Dumber Than Their Parents
How is difficult to know but the GenZ numbers is also about their parents
owebmaster··on Tsc-ts: TypeScript written in TypeScript
> I can't trust anyone on it

You can test it yourself which I did and it works great actually, even though there are some rough edges

owebmaster··on Zuckerberg's Meta Takes Down No Kings Instagram During Protest Day
Time and time again we see cases of non-aligned targets of censorship as some sort of autoban or technical issue. It's a lie and repeating it only help the liars.
