silverFork··on First patient undergoes pioneering stem-cell treatment for Parkinson's
It will change the course of Parkinson disease forever.
silverFork··on How to tell whether your lithium batteries are a fire risk – and what to do
One common visible sign specially with phones is that the battery will bulk up.

Modern charging protocols within devices timeout but a fail safe easy solution to prevent fires is to have a timer before the charger and set it to amount of time that the charger takes to charge the device .. typically 30 min for a phone with a good chargers. With ebikes, read the manual; 2-4 hours typically. The shutoff timers are typically less than $10.

silverFork··on Elon Musk Made Off with $16B of Taxpayer Money
which one? Claiming that others took more is hilarious.. Amazon?! Oh yes that was subsidized in trillions.. multiple channels of subsidy.. No kidding!.. It is a race about can take more.. self made takers ..LOL!
silverFork··on Chinese AI chipmaker Iluvatar CoreX says new GPU matches Nvidia's H200
That the max they can do with the old uv machines I suspect . However I wonder if their 2D gpus will arrive earlier than the west. I wonder if its game over then. Its getting there.
silverFork··on Elon Musk Made Off with $16B of Taxpayer Money
What misrepresentation! None of his companies would have survived without a massive subsidy.. The reason that people are focusing on it now, is the fact he is branding others as takers.
silverFork··on Alberta-made low-tech tractor getting attention worldwide
Well Kubora is Japanese and not local to that region. My search shows that the given tractor company is using a well known engine with no digital components as well as common components with max availability. There is a market for it in Alberta.
silverFork··on Alberta-made low-tech tractor getting attention worldwide
Way to go. No perma rent to pay for inflated priced parts and labor after paying for the tractor.
silverFork··on Autonomous drone chases a person through a forest without GPS, maps, or cloud
LOL.. people can not even escape to the forest away from bots and drones. I wonder what movies are going to do with that?
silverFork··on Musk, Zuckerberg push to rebrand AI as 'super intelligence' on earnings calls
They probably are needy of some sort of government subsidy or trying to avoid being charged with something. Massaging balls usually has a reason...
silverFork··on What to consider if a company that made AI-related job cuts wants you back
Count the chickens after and not in response to PR.. Most of the layoff is happening in tech sector and financial sector and still accelerating.
silverFork··on Laws of Human Stupidity
""Law 3. A stupid person is a person who causes losses to another person or group of people when he or she does not benefit and may even suffer losses.""

Well what if the group or the person are causing loss to that person because they benefit from it. Retaliation would demand that the person do something even though they can suffer losses.

silverFork··on Emotion regulation capacity lacks a shared neural signature
I think that what its saying is that there is no brain pattern has been observed to detect one's ability to control one's emotion.
silverFork··on Microsoft Quarterly Profit Soars as Cloud Growth Accelerates
growth ≠ profit || growth - the cost of new data center = profit
silverFork··on Two high-speed trains collide near Toledo, Spain
The conductors and everybody else will be warned by the same app; passengers are going to pull the alarms. Collision is not fate!
silverFork··on Two high-speed trains collide near Toledo, Spain
This is not run the system, it is a way to monitor and see if they are going to kill you!
silverFork··on Two high-speed trains collide near Toledo, Spain
The GPS location as well as track ID gets logged every few sec. They probably already have the info. Its not rocket science; that is how their systems probably work. They probably log the ID of previous and incoming switch too. They probably have all of this, just make it public.
silverFork··on Spain train crash: 'At least 10 dead' in high-speed collision
A simple solution would be for all trains to have self recoding GPS which they probably all have and log their location on an internet map plus marking all the switches and allow open viewing to public and passengers to monitor their own train versus others. Ai can also be used to set the alarm.
silverFork··on Spain train crash: 'At least 10 dead' in high-speed collision
How is this even possible in this day and age. It can be all automated, double and quad checked enroute ..
silverFork··on US President says he will ban the term 'artificial intelligence'
SS idiocy... the new starship.

To boldly go where not even idiots have gone before

silverFork··on US President says he will ban the term 'artificial intelligence'
Schutzstaffel Idiotisch; that is what he wants
silverFork··on US President says he will ban the term 'artificial intelligence'
LOL.. CloseSI.

Apparently Musk has officially renamed SpaceX, SpaceXsi and Nvidia has renamed its Ai data centers : superintelligence factories

silverFork··on US Government is hiding a secret court ruling about how it spies on Americans
Well your assumption is that they are not using it; they weren't able to use it all before.. Times are changing; Now they can use and use it a lot.. military Ai infrastructure that is to connected political arm will read and process everything and they can target their apposition... its just matter of time. Absolute power = absolute corruption.
silverFork··on US Government is hiding a secret court ruling about how it spies on Americans
How it is done, everybody knows how.. backdoors in servers, back door in communication equipment, decryption method for of all that goes through fiber in entire world.. Massive data storage to store everything. How is not an issue; every node and communication, hardware and software has a backdoor.

Do they have the right to tap into world communication as well as their own is the issue? They are not challenged by apposing parties and their own population or people have given up.

Perhaps there will be a disaster is waiting with all these backdoors and Ai supremacy.

silverFork··on Cancer vaccines are finally here. How do we get them to patients?
I suppose big pharma would like to monopolize the engines for individuated cancer vaccines. And this article is trying to advocate a way out of that pattern.

Other countries though will develop their own personalize-able vaccine engines and will avoid FDA approvals and the game will be kinda over for big pharma monopoly in this.

silverFork··on The end of the end times – AI is returning us to an era of demons and god
The illustration.. that is a good one.

Yup, faster, smarter and more powerful than us .. they will be both our demons and gods.

silverFork··on The 'Buy, Borrow and Die' Wealth Strategy Has Become a $5T Market
If they forced sell any stock that is has been held for more than a year on random dates and bought them back automatically, the whole scheme will be done for.
silverFork··on Accessory dwelling unit ruling could be a boon to California builders
The solution so that the maids for zillionaires don't get stuck in traffic.
silverFork··on The 'Buy, Borrow and Die' Wealth Strategy Has Become a $5T Market
That is result of some really insane laws that has been written about a million times. They have known that zillionaires are using it to avoid paying taxes altogether, even after death.
silverFork··on What to do if you discover AI models trained using your copywrighted book?
The issue is in federal courts and has not reached the supreme court. Most of the judges up to now have sided with Ai companies. They can read and digest any data apparently, the entire knowledge of humanity including whatever you post here and have ever posted your entire life. They can't download the stuff and save it though, so in effect they have to pay some licensing fee or constantly read and never store the data... don't take my word for it, check it out.
silverFork··on Anthropic warns of 'catastrophic risk' to humankind ahead of blockbuster share
Poison pill for day-traders perhaps so whoever buys into it will hold on till the insiders and most likely the bankers can cash out.. I think anthropic insiders were given unusual runway to cash in right at the time of stock issue. They don't have to wait that you know IPO 180 days or whatever as I recall if I am not mistaken.
