sphars··on iPhone Duo Owners Report Screens Breaking Along the Hinge
OP was referring to a meme from the iPhone 4 era, where users complained about a dropped signal, and Steve Jobs responded to one person saying to not hold it a certain way.

sphars··on Ask HN: What are you reading?
> The Blacktongue Thief

I just started this last week after wrapping up DCC series and seeing it recommended in a reddit thread. I'm surprised that I'm enjoying it, it's not my usual genre

sphars··on Ask HN: What are you reading?
All the Sinners Bleed was a great novel, I've enjoyed all of Crosby's books. Subject matter is tough (especially this one), but a good thriller nonetheless.
sphars··on Ask HN: What are you reading?
I just finished book 8 of DCC, and while I wasn't blown away with the series like others, it was entertaining enough to keep me reading.

I just started reading The Blacktongue Thief (hardback) and The Name of the Wind (ebook). I've heard very good things about the latter, and although I'm aware that the series may never complete, I'm trying to not let that dissuade me.

Now we need the HN mods to come in and edit the title of this thread, I had the same thought as OP when I first saw it lol
sphars··on We Are Forking dotenvy into dotenv-ng
I came in and thought it had something to do with Angular since `ng` is a popular pre/post-fix for Angular libraries.

sphars··on Ask HN: What are the viable alternatives to DuckDuckGo?
I just added this as a search engine in Firefox, thanks for the heads-up. For reference, I added this URL:

sphars··on 98.css
I don't have any way to prove it but this was no AI hallucination, a completely true story and human generated site (there is a link to the GitHub on there).

I do appreciate your thoughts and I too hope I'm not being fooled by an AI :)

sphars··on 98.css
Thanks for creating this, it fit perfect for a tiny web site I made[0]. Hits just the right mix of usability and nostalgia and makes me want to use it for more projects.

sphars··on Passkeys were invented by engineers with zero understanding of consumer brain
Are you also using HealthEquity for your HSA? I'm the same boat, they're forcing passkeys on me. I can still login using my employer's SSO but I've been putting off setting up the passkey until I have to.

sphars··on Show HN: RandoFont – A browser for Google Fonts
I like this, I'm often browsing new fonts to load on my Kindle for reading, or different monospace fonts, so this might help.

Would be nice to filter out material icon fonts. Using only monospace filter, icons showed up like every third shuffle.

sphars··on Shadcn/UI now defaults to Base UI instead of Radix
I'm in the same boat. We've been using PrimeNG for several apps at my job, and until we find a suitable replacement, we'll be stuck on using Angular 21.

That being said, a group did fork PrimeNG, and plan on maintaining it (new name pending)

There's likely a way to do with via Tasker/MacroDroid but you'll likely need to use Shizuku (or possibly root) to change these system settings.
