Humans are very good at pattern recognition - Claude is _incredibly_ repetitive in the way it starts to struggle to communicate. I think there's also a ton of overlap in the Jargon instead of Usefulness that developers see in annoying middle management/salespeople. Circle back, synergy blah blah.
I don't think the individual turns of phrase are inherently problematic - but the process is triggering.

I'd argue the user must feel in control, as you say, but not necessarily _be_ in control.
Not dissimilar to what you'd do at home, except supervised closely with peers and integrated into the classroom.
Edit: I should mention that gross and fine motor control is a really big focal point in general. Like how writing things down has been shown to improve memory, other forms of tactile interaction increase engagement and learning.
Imagine putting a scientist in an excellent lab, with all the machines their domain required, fully stocked with reagents etc. Then in the morning, asking if three different tasks, which they'd like to do today. At the end of the day, asking what still needed to completed, and adding it to the three tasks for tomorrow. This is obviously a massive simplification, but hopefully it conveys the idea.
Very useful for diagnosing ISP service interruptions
The title skips all of that for zero nuance and an outright accusation.
edit: Putting in the title as it stands of this comment before it gets ninja edited "Microsoft’s $3M anti-abortion donations under fire from activists, shareholders"
It replaced a closed source vendor product. It's been very successful - however, there's a pretty consistent minority who are very vocal and unhappy about having their materials freely available. Embargo negotiation and publishing policy is a regular argument.
I made getting another job a priority, which was compounded by a 360 review (job feedback) that was meant to be anonymous, but turned out to be anything but. The fallout was my supervisor left (might be been asked to) and I got a job elsewhere - 50% better pay and infinitely more stimulating.
Find a way to the exit.
I really didn't think things through very much. Turns out starting life again with nothing but a bag of clothes is pretty hard. Met my now wife, who helped me buy things for my apartment (cutlery, dishes, furniture lol). Not having a car, drivers license, or social security number were pretty rough impediments to start with.
I got a great job in Boston, lived there for a few years, then moved back to Indiana when we were ready to buy a house and start a family (much more affordable). Been working remotely since before the pandemic.
I love living here. I do miss my friends back in Aus, but I could never afford this quality of life. My kids will be dual citizens, so if they manage to hit it out of the park salary wise they could always head back if they wanted.
Moderate neighbors simply wish people would use them on the weekend of a holiday, but people seem to buy hundreds for using weeks (months) before and after the 4th
