throw03172019··on Postman silently auto-installs AI plugins and attempts to share all API data
Postman was amazing 6-8 years ago. What a downfall it’s been.
throw03172019··on Ask HN: Which TV do you recommend for privacy?
I have a Samsung and I never connected it to WiFi or accepted their terms for “advanced features” like voice control. I don’t get any ads or any slow down. I suppose this works until they start shipping TVs with cellular modems to ping home.

Opus 5.5 has improved a lot on this side. I used to be so frustrated with it breaking the codebase.

A16Z was to help fund their JEV investment ;)
throw03172019··on Apple HomeView
The Find My app actually gives really good directions.
throw03172019··on Apple HomeView
I don’t really understand why we need this. Why another screen? iPhones, iPads, Mac’s and now another one for the kitchen.

Voice shortcuts etc
throw03172019··on Rampart: Browser native on-device PII radaction
Plain text in a chat input is only one piece of the problem. What about files like PDFs and documents filled with PII.

throw03172019··on Meta VR Glasses
Luckily they can’t steal your invisible monitor, keyboard and mouse.
throw03172019··on Meta VR Glasses
Seeing a person at a coffee shop typing with his fingers on a table and moving his invisible mouse would be…interesting.

I can see value on a plane. But I’d rather use my MacBook then look like a crazy person pretending to work.

throw03172019··on Claude Opus 5.5
Most likely they disabled it because it can* retain data if they deem they need to like Mythos/Fable.
throw03172019··on "I know I am GPT-6. I cannot confirm whether this session uses GPT-6-Sol."
I wonder if this is related to their ChatGPT where they have obscured the model you are on unless you are in Work mode?
throw03172019··on Claude Opus 5.5
For this exact reason.
