vortexh··on Most Americans will get a wrong or late diagnosis at least once in their lives
I have never heard of a concierge physician service. where can I learn more about the issues surrounding medical insurance and its impact on patient care? as someone who lives in the US and relies on the healthcare system, I'm very interested.
vortexh··on Ask HN: Bioengineering Undergrad trouble finding internship
Will do. If I was an EE, I would have a decent chance at finding something because it's a fairly specialized field. Same with CS. You tend to pick up skills and are much more valuable in the long run for your ability to program. I'm neither of those and now I'm seriously regretting this major. I seem to be a jack of all trades guy and that is making me concerned about my future. I'm not a software engineer so I can't exactly create large scale software with good coding skills and I'm not a hardware person either. I have some experience with arduino but that's baby stuff compared to what these internships work on.

I'm very sad and extremely concerned. I have worked on neural networks and stuff but I neither have the experience nor the necessary knowledge to work with, say, Microsoft Research Group.

vortexh··on Ask HN: Not getting anywhere in my major, make the switch to Computer Science?
I've learned a decent amount about sensors and just started to get into neural networks, specifically the Probabilistic Neural Network for binary classification problems. Can you point me in the right direction for internships with what you are doing?
vortexh··on Ask HN: Have I wasted my college years by commuting?
Is it possible to rush spring semester? I think I missed out on rushing fall this month. I guess my main concern is being hazed and dealing with all the negative stories I've heard. Are there any fraternities you recommend?

Thanks for replying, much appreciated.

I don't know...I guess I'm sad that my parents were against dorming since I lived so close. I try to get over the fact that I commute because I feel like I can do something for myself even if I am in this situation. I'll go through these periods in my life where I feel inadequate, dealt bad cards, and didn't take the chance to leave even when my GPA was fantastic. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate myself but all I have are grades and some great conversations with professors. Still...

Mind if I ask where you went to college? What are you doing now?
