Mostly Linux/MacOS user with heavy focus on Red Hat on the server front.
I like boring macOS versions, where we just fix bugs and don't put new unnecessary features that nobody wants.
Have you tried using Stage Manager? It's a joke. Why would I want to hide my apps that are on the side of each of other to give highlight to one of them?
Do you guys even do some serious work where you need a terminal and a document guide by the side?
Not planning to go back to a major city unless remote work takes a full shift back to office.
Quite happy with my M1 Pro, a beat and a hell of a purchase.
Would love to go back to a PC running Linux but for the time being macOS + Brew on MacBook Air/14" is the way to go due to the battery life and performance.
Oh and my 14" as a heck of a screen.
Using the Apple Silicon version on the MBP14" works great!
We are a cloud shop 100% remote and I can say we have been hiring some really good talent at the major companies just because of this.
Some people even accept a full pay cut for this.
These are quite amazing to be honest and there's ton of vertical space for both VS Code and Terminals.
I can't wait for the day I'll never have to use a Microsoft service again in my life
Plus Dolby Vision and 4K actually works in my Disney+.. Since in my PS5 and Samsung QLED doesn’t for some reason
If this happens though, all carriers will be forced their hand. Sometimes it's the only chance
But for anyone interested in gaming you either get a console or need another gaming rig.
For work I use strictly Edge as it keeps everything from o365 together.
I had to force myself to have it in clamshell mode to avoid crazy stuff going on.
Regarding hardware I'm happy where they going and they brought back the ports everyone wanted, just hoping next time we get HDMI 2.1 and some external displays.
The way Microsoft handles Teams annoys the crap out of me the MacOS and Linux versions are left to die basically.
