epikur··on A developer's perspective: the problem with screen reader testing
They do! Not fully optimized for developers perhaps, but check out "Speech Viewer" in NVDA and the "Braille Viewer" and "Speech History" in JAWS. This guide has some screenshots:

epikur··on Ask HN: Do you use an alternative keyboard layout like Dvorak?
I've found that Colemak avoids this problem for the most part, as unlike Dvorak, most of the bottom row of QWERTY is left intact: http://colemak.com/
epikur··on My Y Combinator experience
Here's a video walkthrough: https://vimeo.com/108812024

Not sure why it's hidden in the footer.

epikur··on I Fought Comcast and Almost Won
I encountered this as well. The support rep's workaround was to change my Ecobill address back to my Comcast address. I then enabled forwarding from that address and it works fine. Such a pain.
epikur··on Show HN: Featureless text editor
Nice! I'll observe that they definitely spent more than 10 minutes making that.
epikur··on Show HN: Featureless text editor
Hmm, I'm not able to reproduce that. Did you happen to paste anything in? Currently the contenteditable div gets a little jumbled when you paste in anything that isn't plaintext.

Note that Gmail includes a setting to switch the icons back to text labels (Settings --> General --> Button Labels).

Would reddit be more receptive to this?

Have you looked at Redmine? It includes a wiki, as well as 'projects', issue tracking, and email notifications for stuff.

The text rendering on the site doesn't look great for me in Windows 7/8 and Chrome/Firefox: http://i.imgur.com/ictFz0V.png
epikur··on A month with Dell's Project Sputnik
As a Colemak user, I would suggest remapping Caps Lock to backspace instead of Ctrl.
epikur··on Ask HN: Hackintosh Thinkpad being used for Mac OSX developement
I hackintosh'd my x220 to the latest Mountain Lion. My only real problem was getting sleep functionality to work, but I didn't really see others with my problem and didn't post asking for help. I had to buy an alternative wireless card (Dell 1515) for $10 off ebay, as the included chip doesn't have OSX drivers. It probably would have been fine for at least a couple months if I had spent more time fixing the sleep issue. Except for that, it worked great, and it wasn't difficult to add drivers or processor power management stuff.

I switched to dual-booting Ubuntu and Windows 7, but will either switch back or buy an Air in the future.

epikur··on [dead]
I wrote this for my own use, since I send lots of short emails to a few certain people. But I hope you find it convenient, too.
epikur··on Ask HN: What monitors are great for coding?
I have a Lenovo x220 (matte, 12" IPS) and two Dell 2311h's (matte, 23" IPS's, can rotate to portrait) - I don't have any complaints, and I don't think I'll ever buy a TN display in the future. I'm not sure what the sparkle effect is; it seems like something that that particular guy is more sensitive to.

It sounds like you're looking for one of these: http://www.codinghorror.com/blog/2012/07/the-ips-lcd-revolut...

epikur··on Ask HN: What was the developer looking for a $3500 project?

epikur··on Ask HN: Have you had a good experience with ordering from Lenovo?
The x230 or X1 Carbon are great. I have an x220 and recently put OSX on it. I got mine off a forum, though, so I can't say how well the online ordering process works.
epikur··on How to use Gmail to destroy your relationship with your investors and customers
Is that the same as marking things "Not Spam"? As in, does it lower the quality of Gmail's spam filter?
epikur··on Cleanest Blogging Platform?
I'm curious, why is there a virtual keyboard?
epikur··on Google Fiber
What cloud backup provider did you settle on? Dropbox has very slow uploads for me, so I'm curious what else is out there that works.
epikur··on Ask HN: Best way to stream video from an event?
Livestream.com starts at $45/mo and seems pretty easy to set up.

epikur··on Laser-powered bionic eye gives vision to the blind
As someone with only one eye, this headline is misleading. But retinal implants are still very cool.
epikur··on Ask HN: Do you know a github project for a instagram-like web app?
Kinda like http://theopenphotoproject.org/ ?
epikur··on Ask HN: Why doesn't Google Analytics automatically sign in user?
You can type http://google.com/analytics/web and get a bit further in.
epikur··on Gmail lab feature 'Mouse Gestures' no more?
There appears to be a number of chrome extensions that support gestures, so perhaps you can find or configure one that works similarly ("Pig Toolbox," for example). Or learn the Gmail keyboard shortcuts.
epikur··on Indie short film shot in Japan which looks like a big Hollywood movie
It appears you guys are getting pretty close to your deadline and your goal. I wonder, if you get closer to May 6 and still have a funding gap, if you could could just put a $10k charge on your credit card, and then immediately pay it off after you receive the funds from Kickstarter.
epikur··on Data Engineer in Google Case Is Identified - author of NetStumbler
Why/how would the FBI be notified? Capturing packets from an unsecured wifi network doesn't exactly ring alarm bells.
