That's a bit misleading. IndexedDB is a standard maintained by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and is supported by all major browsers. Web SQL Database was a prior API developed by Apple. But Firefox refused to add support for it and argued against it becoming a standard because it would codify the quirks of SQLite. It was thus deprecated in favor of IndexedDB.
I had a look at your personal site (linked from the one you posed) and I don't know how (or why) you dare to put so much of your personal information online. What's the worst that could happen? I don't know, but identity theft is up there and can have significant consequences.
I would like to think that something like this would by buoyed to the top on most news sites/aggregators but the fact of the matter is that regardless of how much news you read, there's always things going on that you will miss.
> just run that thing and send it to me and I can file an exception if there is something on it I disagree with.
This is how it works in Australia. Taxes are filed online with the government authority (ATO), and everything is pre-filled. You just need verify it's correct and make any claims you want.
Does Linux? OSX? There's a hundred and one different ways to get Windows to run something at boot, even as an unpriviliged user. So it's not as simple as just monitoring HKCU\..\Run. With Linux at least it's somewhat more limited: Unpriviliged users typeically only have access to cron for running things at boot.
I'm not sure if you're aware but Tor has a specific mode for OP's situation, where it disguises traffic by using standard TLS on standard ports which looks no different to any other HTTPS traffic for example, among other things.
Tor has long been billed as a tool for journalists to fly under the radar and avoid persecution, but it's great to hear these case studies from the horse's mouth. Thanks to you and other journalists who risk life and limb to report on and within these abusive regimes.
That's a flawed analogy, cloudflare here provides cover for these dodgy sites to hide behind. Cloudflare here is not only the V8 supercar but the getaway driver as well.
