thebakeshow··on The death of transit?
>I know that NAT is not a security feature but, pragmatically, one could argue the opposite: lots of vulnerable devices today aren't part of a botnet just because they haven't been discovered being hidden behind NAT.

But in the same way, I feel like NAT has allowed a false sense of security. Maybe if NAT wasn't there to hide everyone's PC, more machines would be broken into, and device security would be a lot better today.

Question to those astrophotographers out there. I notice the cooler has a fan on it, is the fan vibration damped somehow?

I shoot a lot of long distance photos (300mm F/2.8 and 600mm F/4 are my main lenses). Any vibration is greatly amplified when I shoot, and this is a much longer range than that.

>There was an interesting pilot program to give $50 tickets to people exceeding the speed limit by 30mph in school zones. Tons of opposition.

At least here in Ohio, speeding in a school zone during restricted hours results in doubling the fine and mandatory court.

Also, at 30 mph over the speed limit, the officer can charge you with reckless operation which is a large fine and requires remedial driving lessons.
