I did update my GP though to clarify.

Meanwhile I'm the dick that didn't pay these people for serving me, in the name of some crusade an article told me to do.
Generally the kitchen staff is not on server wages in America and do not received a part of the tip.
But yeah, if that's the case for you, go ahead and factor that in.
You see my point though right?
And no, servers do a lot lot more. Have you actually worked any of these jobs? I did both.
There's a reason it's so damn cold in a lot of restaurants, serving is really hard work.
Kitchen work is kinda fun, serving is not, but you can make good money if you're good, due to tips.
The server has no control over that, not really fair.
(based on American practices, seems like UK is different in how tips are distributed)
Please hold while I tip my waiter extra for serving me and my family on Christmas.
I'm sure there's some other cultural practice that you can crusade against, maybe in your own country?
(I do not tip in other countries like Japan as I respect their customs and wages are factored for no tip)
I meant, is it entirely the cause of the massive drop (to near nil) that year?
You didn't answer the main point of my post with any information.
You just deflected on the first word, which you interpreted wrong in the first place.
Still haven't seen a source on this claim, noone has in this thread.
So link please?
I have heard this theory, would like to know more information.
many are drug addicted, they would have somewhere to go but they opted out of society (well, they aren't in the forest so not full opt-out)
but yes a combination of state run rehab / mental hospitals seems to be the only solution, but is it done by force?
if it's not forced you'll have a hell of a time getting people to go. if it is, you are now rounding up potentially unwilling people and shipping them to a facility.
Deno Doc: https://doc.deno.land/https://esm.sh/v135/@types/three@0.159...
TSDocs.dev: https://tsdocs.dev/docs/three/0.159.0/modules.html
The search UX and documentation UI of TSDocs is better. The availability of Deno is better atm.
Though TSDocs was speedier and a better flow when it was working.
Now Figma has an extra billion for development and Adobe has to start back up the thing they couldn't catch Figma with in the first place.
It was pretty much a win/win for Figma regardless of outcome. Though this outcome is a win for Figma and it's users.
For all Android users this would mean there's now an official client.
For Beeper devs this means there's less RE needed for their client.
Even if Apple released an official app, Beeper is still useful for aggregating other services, something Apple will never do.
I see noone but Beeper winning in this game barring legal skirmishes.
A webview-based framework has way too many limitations even to this day for us.
React Native has been able to provide a native-like experience for us with no issues.
You don't think there's a lot of companies in that boat?
I was able to make a react-native app, targeting web first. Took a little under a year.
Took 1 month to get it working and deployed on both app stores to replace the apps our iOS and Android team used to work on natively.
I now maintain web, iOS, and Android, solely, with one codebase, 95% code shared.
We used to have at least two devs on each native platform. That saves about $600k/yr.
(browser-based cross-platform toolkits are a joke, they are not flexible, and are hard to extend)

Hopefully some of you get to enjoy them for the first time.
The intimidation of the stacked charges led to Swartz's suicide.
The gov. was 100% responsible for his death, which is why I say they killed him, indirectly, but they still caused the anguish that made him feel like suicide was the only way out.
Sadly this strategy is used all too often on citizens, plea deal offered to say "look they pleaded guilty, we were right", otherwise you get the stick, life in jail.
Are you under the thinking that no coordination happened, or that the coordination that did happen is legal and expected?
Trying to understand how you didn't get to the same conclusions.
Just picking a random snippet from the Files, here's part six:

How is that not government collusion with a private company to censor US citizens?
Anyone can go read the reports and judge for themselves what happened.
I don't see how anyone could go through it and think there was no collusion.
(not that I agree with this whataboutism used to distract from the initial criticisms of the CCP oppression)
But since they only work well for in town and on highways, they don't work well to replace my truck for ranch and recreational off-roading use.
These categories are based on my own needs, but they aren't that unique.
I don't mind if things are done other ways, as long as they are practical.
No purity test needed, just practicality.
Currently EV trucks are impractical outside of using them in town / on highways and they are not practical to haul range-wise.
If you don't need that stuff, what's the point over getting a car?
If it's the latter, you'll have to do so amongst yourself.
It's being very pedantic.
I one day hope that EV trucks will be useful to me to replace my ICE truck, but for me none of them hit the boxes.
some of them are logistical in relation to charging vs having an extra can of gas though, so it's hard to say.
